Is Deca really that terrible/bad/dangerous?

I keep reading this board along with other boards and seems like everybody hates this compound and call it the worst thing on the market in terms of AAS is concerned. Between Deca dick and bloating like a fish, are there any good reasons to run Deca?

I'm afraid of it myself now. Is this one of those "broscience" myths giving this compund a bad name? It's a shame bcuz I have 2 vials that I was planning to save for a future cycle but now I just might sell it off for 1/2 the price just to get rid of it after reading these boards.

Why would anybody make a compund that castrates you??

The deca Dick is caused by high prolactin.. look after that and it won't be an issue.. it does cause quite a bit of bloat and water retention and because it has a long estet sides can hang around for ages.. it can also be detected in the body up to 18months after you finish using it.. it can be run successfully but there are just better options out there nowadays

not to seem too techniqual and specific but the first thing you have to learn is that there is no such steroid as deca.

deca is the slang term for an ester.

its a long and stubborn ester and it lingers a long time

the steroid you are referring to is a nandrolone. guys who run NPP instead find a much easier time recovering. as it is a shorter ester and is in and out of the body quicker so there is less complications

It isn't "bro-science" at all. Deca bloats and causes impotence. No mystery. Deca was essentially meant to be a steroid that was non androgenic in the hopes it would be none suppressive. It essentially failed. But it works. The thing is, all steroids work so why would you want one that bloats and causes impotence. If anything, the "good for the joints" reason is bro-science. It's just water retention. Creatine, salt, or better yet, d-bol, will accomplish the same thing.

The problem with nandrolone decanoate is that its a very suppressive compound with a long ester, which makes it an odd choice for guys who are cycling because recovery is very difficult vs the shorter esters nandrolone propionate or phenylpropionate...

It does cause bloat but that also can be controlled with your sodium intake

It is awesome for power and great when stacked with test

It's in your body for like 11 months which sucks. It also takes a bit of time to really kick in. It's a long ass ester like everyone said, so I would stack it with cypionate or enanthate

Oh and "dead dick" or "decca dick" is def. NOT a myth. I was on decca for 4 months once and I could barely maintain a hard-on, even while running aromatase inhibitor.

The smart thing to do is:

1- always run your test higher than you decca
2- take an A.I. for the higher test and an aromatase inhibitor for the decca, I believe nowadays kids take Aromasin.

I agree with Bona that there are better options out there. I had run Tren in 4 different cycles and never had a problem with prolactin/erectile issues and my 1st run of Deca, sure enough 3 1/2 or 4 weeks into the cycle BAM. Even though I was running a good amount of test at the same time. I had Caber on hand but was not running it since I had never had an issue with Tren.

The big problem is like most are saying in the other posts....that ester hangs around a long time. I have not run NPP but would try it instead of Deca again. But honestly I am not even that interested since there are other compiounds I feel can acheive the same.

i don't think people realize how crazy the aromatization is with a test/'deca' cycle. i've seen estradiol in the 200-300 range on them. this is why so many guys get gyno on that stack.

A few corrections.

Deca was designed to be non aromatizing -- but it does aromatize to a degree, PLUS, it's progesterogenic, making it a big cause for gyno.

ALl steroids increase collegan production. Again, I maintain Deca has no specific advantage over other steroids for joints other than the water retention.

The long ester is irrelevant. Deca is active for 2 weeks, like any other long ester. It's the Metabolites that are DETECTABLE for months afterward, but the activity of the drug is essentially inert after 14 days.

^^ correct in other words it can be detected with a roid test up to 18 months after last injection. but by no means is it still working for that long, that would be a neat trick if it was

Thats why so many athletes get caught for nandrolone.. it seems like an outdated compound now

the NFL tests 8 people per team once a week throughout the year. so you may get tested a few times or you might not get tested at all .. but you do get a week to report to a lab and get tested. in that case HGH, suspension would be the best choices, thats what i would run if i was a pro but the injections would suck donkey balls. i would probably cycle off the suspension in the offseason and then ahead of camp get back on. and i would use short acting insulin as well especially if i played a non speed position where i needed size

only a complete moron would mess with nandrolone if they had any chance of being tested. in that case they deserve to get suspended lol .. i remember the LB from the texans got busted for hcg a couple years ago

Only 2days ago in England a soccer player got a 2year ban for testing positive for nandrolone. Apparently it was for an injury. just baffles me why he would have been give that of all things

Shame bcuz I have two vials ready for use but will not run them now. Looks like I'm gonna have to sell them to somebody who loves this stuff. Oh well. As long as I can help somebody who loves this stuff I'll gladly sell half off.
