is ambien any good?

looking to quit drinking for a while, and well, obviously im going to need a substitute... I'd strongly prefer a legal sub, and I'm sure I can get my doc to write me scripts for Ambien, I honestly dont sleep more than 4 hours a night anways..

i was prescribed ambien b4 and yes they are good. they will knock you out and you wont feel groggy in the morn cause they only stay in system for 4-5hrs. but you shouldnt take them for more than 2wks or so, can be addictive.

Ambien? Maybe for insomnia, but if you're looking for something to relax you when you go out and you're set on ingesting some kind of substance, try something like Valium (diazepam). Some people really like GHB, although I can't say I've tried it myself.

They really put me out cold. I usually drink a glass or two of wine and I'm asleep in about 5 minutes.

thanks.. GHB is for the birds.. i went through a bottle of the old verve 5.0... wicked stuff. i could never dose it right. Valium would be cool, but my physician is hardly doctor feelgood, so it may be rough to pull any any V's out of him. Xanax is ok, but it has no buzz what so ever..

Valium is all over the place though. You probably have friends that have some. Hell... just go to another doctor if you have to. A buddy of mine got an Adderall scrip (schedule II amphetamine) by going to one of those $50 walk-in clinics. Where there's a will, there's a way.

ip ambien makes you feel weird the whole next day. and 1 doesn't work i take like 3-4 of them. if you stay awake you bascially trip. but they help you sleep

one of my friends told me she did that, for me just makes me real relaxed or buzzzed if i fight the sleep but i used to knock me out. but u build toleranc real quick. they were good cause u couldnt tell the next day, but too addicting. not really worth it trading one for another.
