Problem with stats is that the more abstracted language used to describe the math and the subject on a technical level is not the same as the language used in normal day-to-day conversation.
This isn't a grading curve, it's a statistical distribution. Kinda like there's really no such thing as a point-mass electron orbiting an atom like a planet around it's sun -- it's an electron
distribution. Below 100 can be average with this curve, just as above 100 can be.
