Not sure if you know, but you can download all the new features that the G3 has right now on the older models if you have had yours awhile. Hubby is updating mine now and it has lots of new cool stuff. It now has myspace, facebook, radio, etc etc. too much stuff! Check it out!

I heard a review that the new IPhones with G3 eats through batteries.

I take it you're please with yours ... right?

I love my Iphone. All of them battery life sucks though not just the G3. I just keep mine charged at home and in the car. It only uses it a lot when you are on the net a lot.

Anything 3G uses even more battery than a cell running off EDGE (2.5 G), but I think the new iphone is supposed to cycle the 3G off when its not needed to save battery......At least I hope they do...

We use G3 to GPS for professional applications through a VRS.

http://www.profsurv.com/archive.php?article=1023&issue=73

VRS includes a network of fixed reference stations, software, and a control center to "virtually create" reference stations for users in the region, providing centimeter accuracy with enhanced performance and reliability.

Fuck Apple!!! Yesterday I tried to DL the 2.0 for my 16g gen 1 iPhone and I got pwnd hard. My phone was completely unusable for most of the day. Luckily my friend had not updated iTunes in a while and I was able to restore my phone to the old 1.1.4 version. Now I can't synch my phone with iTunes. I am so over this shit.

in what situation would you actually use the internet on your cell phone? how often have you used the internet connection on your cell phone?

I ask because i have gone back and forth about wanting a cell with more features such as this, but i cant imagine a time i would need to use it (always have laptop)

I use it any time I am waiting somewhere. If I am at my daughters TKD lessons, doctors office, etc. I don't pick up a magazine anymore I surf the net.

Well hypothetically ... like when you're at the bar with your derelict friends you could show them youtubes while they're slamming jaegers and you're sippin' on O'Doul's :rainbow:

My mommy and daddy never showed me love
Therefore, I'm getting an iphone

Do you find typing on the e-keyboard challenging? I've had touch screen keyboards before and hate the non-tactile feedback.

lol. People bitch about gas prices, then buy iphones.

And you wonder why arabs and iranians and venezuelans and speculators and oil companies don't feel sorry for us.
