Interesting supp to try with DNP?

Was searching for info about DNP and allergic reactions and came across this:

For those of you who run it, you may want to give this a shot:

http://www.healthkingenterprise.com/v2/herb_info/tcm/ClearHead_NeckComfort.htm

Antipyresis: This product yields rather strong antipyretic action on feverish rat model induced by para-2, 4-dinitrophenol. The action is conspicuous after administration for 30 min and persists for over 2 hrs.

We arent rats obviously but if it could take away some of the danger produced by heat it might be interesting.

Dunno, searched around and didnt find anything on it but did find this meaning for para:

(Chem)- A prefix denoting: (a) Likeness, similarity, or connection, or that the substance resembles, but is distinct from, that to the name of which it is prefixed;

Yeah I'm not touching it with a 10 foot pole personaly but the above herb was shown to reduce fever associated with para-DNP ?? so it may hold promise in helping the dangeres of DNP heat. Just an fyi for those who use it, I'll stick to running.

No herb will reduce the dangers of DNP heat.

Your core temperature only goes up ehrn you're dehydrated while on DNP.

Thats why drugs or supplements which dehydrate you are a no-no while on DNP.

Z, glad to see you're posting again.

What the hell is para-2-4-dinitrophenol?

there are three substituents (OH, 2 NO2s), so there shouldnt be ortho, meta, or para....

Also 2,4 dinitrophenol-Lysine

Apparently the addition of the AA lysine to the DNP molecule improves its effectiveness and reduces some side effects(Like upset stomach).

Thanx "Fonz"
The para reference to orientation threw me off, ortho, para and meta are for rings with 2 substituents using 1 as a reference point (1 position) and the other ortho (2) meta (3) or para (4) 1,2 1,3 or 1,4 positioning.

I wouldnt trust anything other than str8 2,4 when dealing with DNP, its funny how adding something so simple to a molecule in a certain position can drastically change the molecule, even making it WAY more dangerous!
