so you don't eat any greens?

I get the same glucose rise with white as I do with brown rice so I can tell you at least for myself your statement is true about the brown rice (same goes for sugar and splenda)

I love fruit I eat fruit too

LOL @ cake

How about pie instead

i read some interesting shit about rice, both brown and white, being useless carbs. i can search for it if your interested. yes or no?

wow, very interesting. I've always had this hunch but felt a big bowl of rolled oats necessary in the morning for some reason and then another complex carb throughout the day. No drop in strength is encouraging. I think I'll cut it out.

ave been lifting pretty serious this last half year for a goal I have.

By Default the whole time I kinda of naturally eat low carb when I am in intense training ( 150 grams or less which for a Big guy is little)

I have done this Not by choice but rather its what my body wants.
When I don't lift my body want the opposite, CARBS!, and not very much protein.

I have taken 2 weeks off do to a transition in training and just a bit of break. And in this time I have eaten carbs more normally..

Do you think it's possible that when you are not lifting your serotonin levels start to drop and your body is craving carbs to get your serotonin levels peaked again?

If you can get it easily I'd love to read it but if it's going to put you out I'll search it.

Tatyana has a great educated opinion on this I believe which is proven

Basically in theory its slow but in reality practically speaking its not good for those of us that are not carb friendly. It basically like eating white

When you say that you don't have carbs on the 50 carb day, what do you eat during that day? I find myself skipping fruits / crackers quite easily, but I can't skip the coffee with cream and sugar.

~Thanks for sharing, so we have the same experience

~Yes I east greens :) I finally chop onions, garlic, mixed greens and half a tomatoe for the last 2 meals WITH the solid carbs I use and then calculate.
But the cardb content of them even in a generous amount still only factors to about 10 grams, 15 at best.

~I add them for organic fiber and vitamin and mineral content.

~Fruit is smart once a day for an athlete ( good for liver, and satiety)

~Ice Cream on pie

i was able to get clips of the information. i have to go now so i cant keep up the search. these are notes from two well respected guys at another lame ass board. the board does happen to have some nutritional gurus who i have read info from for years and years and they are always ahead of the curve and extremely dedicated to the nutritional aspect of training. i was alittle surprised to see this info. might not effect your outlook but i have since dropped any rice and replaced with oats or sweet potatoes all together.

"Rice is a poor carb.Brown rice is OK in cutting only. There is hardly any difference in calories between a refined carbohydrate like white rice and an unrefined carbohydrate like brown rice but there is a big difference in fiber content. Food that is high in fiber fills you up faster than food stripped of fiber. I can easily finish two cups of white rice but I can hardly go beyond one cup of brown rice without feeling like I have just swallowed a big stone".
not big news, i think we are all aware of this.

"They are extremely poor sources of vitamins (particularly vitamins A, B-group, folic acid and C), minerals, antioxidants and phytosterols. They are toxic when raw- there is no doubt about this- it is a fact that no competent source would dispute- they can be extremely dangerous and it is important never to eat them raw or undercooked. Cooking destroys most but not all of the toxins.
These toxins include enzyme blockers, lectins and other types. once cooked this is often rapidly digestible-giving a high glycemic index (sugar spike)".
this is for both brown and white rice which i was not aware of.

"Yep. Rice is akin to putting water in a Jaguar. Why use an inferior energy source for a high performance machine such as the human body?
I know it's shunned upon by some in the BB community, but low GI carbs is what the human body functions best off of. Yes, an even low GI carbs PWO too. SHOCKING!"
this, again, is for both brown and white rice. i always thought brown rice was like oatmeal, seems not.
