Int packages and MBE's

Been off the block for a year or so with INT but recently decided to get MBE. I went to pick up a package a few weeks ago and there was a slip telling me to pick it up at the PO. They told me all registered mail has to be picked up at the po. This was the whole thing about getting a MBE. They where supposed to sign for the package for me. Anyway I went to the PO and picked it up fine. Well I just got another package that was NOT registered and I still had to go to the PO and pick it up. WTF. Anyone else have any problems like this? The MBE says they do not know why they will not leave it.

Never heard of that....all my packages arrive fine (never have any registered) and the staff at MBE signs for all the items if necessary. Hopefully someone can shed a little light on this for you.

The MBE staff tried to sign for the package but the PO guy said it had to be picked up at PO. Other MBE's I have had in past would sign for everything whether is was registered or not. I was just wondering if this is something new that has to be done.

get another PO that will sign for packs - ask them ahead if they will: keep in mind, some will NOT sign for packs but they wont tell you that, find some that will. Tell them you have to work and can't go pick up your mail, so you need a place that will sign for it and you can pick up later.

The paper I got when I bought the box said they sign for all international packages. Its strange. Enougth to spook me away.

so, ask them why they didn't sign for this?
I suggest you just get a new MBE, some of these jokers just "say" they sign but don't actually do it

I did ask them why they did not sign and they told me the Post office told them it has to be picked up there. I have heard from a few other friends the same thing you are talking about though. They just dont want to sign for registered mail.

end of the store = get a different MBE, I know it might cost more, but better be safe then sorry - especially now you know how they are.

Yeah, I guess at this point the MBE is pretty much useless....at least they have defeated the purpose of paying them. When you signed the agreement with them (as we all have done)....you authorized them to be your "agent" for delivered goods. To hell with the damned postmen (and the rest of those federal f*****s too)!

Good luck anyhow!

Dude- Po Boxes Are Bad News I Dont Feel Like Elaborating On It But It Is Not Wise To Have Gear Sent To A Mbe Or Po Box Trust Me Sometimes In An Effort To Be Really Slick And Cover All The Bases We End Up Making Dumb Decisions Like Using Po Boxes - Not Smart Bro
