Injection swelling: Inflammation or infection?

I have this happen to me too, but only when I shoot Test4. Wherever i stick it, it gets all swollen and bruises and hard like a whole muscle mass all by itself in my ass cheek. Usually goes away before i have to stick the next one, so like 3-6 days. But my roomy never has any problems when he does it, just me. So I figure it's just how my body reacts to it, I never have any problem with the Deca. Even still..

The juice, is definetely worth the squeeze.

I'm going to disagree with it being worth the pain. It's not worth the pain if you can't lift.

Keep us posted on progress. Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies, Bros. Gave K where I could.

Well, the Dr. perscribed me amoxicillan for the infection. I told her everything, (after I read their privacy policy and found it ok). She was really cool about everything, but I gotta say, not so knowledgeable. So much so in fact, that a less tactful person than myself might reflect on her gender and her minority status and be tempted to make some comments about the possibility of affirmative action contributing to her position.

...But you'll get none of that here, folks :)

In any case, I am going back Sunday for a follow up. She said it might have to be lanced. As long as everything is in order by Tuesday, and I can head out to Mexico, I can live with that.

I'll keep you posted...

If I had to guess I'd say that the antibiotics and instructions to come back and get it drained are SOP. Nothing doctors these days love better than prescribing antibiotics.

Look for:
Redness
Swelling
Hot to touch
Red lines moving from inject site
bubbly feeling under skin (anaerobe)
Infections are quite painful and the lump many times must be lanced and packed, the bacteria somewhat incase themselfs in a large "capsule" that systemic anti-bs cant get through.......needless to say, you dont want this!

Fever usually means large production of exotoxin, if so, seek help fast, systemic staph is a bitch.
