Information on T3/T4 please???

Does anyone know of a website or links to previous posts about T3/T4? I'm starting HRT and my doc is prescribing me Thyroid SR 9ug T3/38ug T4 per grain... Whatever that means. He said it was a T3/T4 drug and I'm taking 1 grain per day. I want to learn as much as possible about it before I start taking it, such as side effects (good and bad), how it works, typical dosages, does it suppress the natural thryroid hormones, etc.

Lol... I did and I got the typical HRT doc response. It helps breakdown fat, improves cholesterol, and boosts energy. Now I want to hear from the people who use it here. Sometimes I feel like the guys around here have more information to offer because they are true testiments of these drugs rather than a doctor who gives you an answer he read in a medical journal.

i did a short cycle of t3 a while back and have since had blood work done that showed no abnormalities. my dose was small and pyramided, i think from 25 to 75 mcgs(not sure about the right suffix here, may be mgs, been too long) i felt no side effects and lost a very noticable amount of weight and no strength loss. but im not an expert, this is only my experience with it.

my cycle lasted three weeks if im not mistaken. maybe too short/small to see any real side effects, but i was always scared of the stuff. either way, it either worked or got a placebo from it.

9 micrograms of T3 and 18 micrograms of T4. The per grain part is throwing me off a bit because no one that I know except for a good friend has used grain measurements in many many years. What is the name of the drug specifically? Is it syntroid or tri-iodothyronine? The T3 SR is a T3 sustained release formula. Combining T3 SR with T4 is pretty progressive compared to US standards.

What do your thyroid panels look like out of curiosity?
