Tell the truth. He should say what he did and let the doctor examine the site and see if there is a possible health problem.

As stated above, the Dr. needs to know everything so that he can help as best he can. They are not going to bust him or turn him in for using steroids.

Get some medical eyes on that thing, asap.

If its been over a week and its getting red, warm and more swollen then go to the doc immediately.

tell the docs it was a b12 shot. dont admit to using steroids. your insurance company can use this information agaisnt you.
