Increasing Flexibility

I see to have incredibly short hamstrings as i cant touch my toes when i bend over. I get about half way down my shin before i cant go lower. I do have a very deep lower back so this might hinder my bending, but what is the best way to increase my flexibility?

I also have an incredibly short stride for someone of my height(6-2, and 36" legs) Could this be due to my lack of flexibility?

Just keep working on it...
Dynamic stretches might help to mix it up a bit as well...
Like leg kicks for example...kick rightleg to left hand...left leg to right...etc.
You might also want to hold your stretches for longer or when your warm in order to get the best stretch possible..i would recommend no longer then 40 secs though. I would recommend dynamic stretching before and static after even though both can be static but dynamic stretches give you a good warm up too...
