I think so, but you never know.

I really am sick and I got a Dr's not yesterday stating acute sinusitis and broncitis. I've accumlated a bit of sick leave, so the way I figure it sick leave is part of my compensation package ... if I can't use it (esp with a Dr's note) don't give it to me.

You should be. I think the longest I've gone without taking an unscheduled day off is about 18 months.

If you got recognized for such great attendance it would be worthwhile. But if not and you do feel like shit, what's the big deal in calling in? It's actually better to do that in some cases than go in and spread sickness some more.

That's what I'm saying. My paycheck is the same if I show up at work or not.

Sick leave is part of my compensation package and if I can't use it don't give it to me.
