and the shower is out of commission for a while, so i went to take a shower today in the guest bathroom.

that's the smallest shower ever invented. I can't put my elbows out at the sides. I went to wash my hair and wacked one elbow into the wall, and i kept hitting the tubing for the shower head (the hand held thing) and knocking it out of the holder onto my head.

how can anyone stay at my house and want to come back? that shower is insane.

Is it a stand up shower?
My MIL was just talking about adding a shower to her downstairs bathroom and she was saying one of those corner stand ups would work....I think it will be too small

it is a stand up stall shower but its not a corner. I thought it was acceptable for a guest bath, but it's annoyingly small once you're in it and trying to move.

I guess it says more about the size of you.

That is exactly what i was figuring. She is in process of building new home and I think that he best option would be to switch the bathroom with the laundry room. The original laundry room sq footage is much bigger and is big enough for a normal size stand up shower. She can easily get the kind that is big enough and has a seat inbedded into it. Guess they have to run it by the plumber or some shit.

well. i have opinions about this.
my laundry room is small and i SO wish it was bigger. although, i have some storage shelves in there AND the cat litter box/food.
if her bathroom is going to be a guest one, or extra, then a smallish corner shower isn't bad. depending on how much it projects into the room, it may even be roomier than you think.
if its her main bath, then maybe you're right.

The original plans have it as only a 1/2 bath on the lower level. she wants to add a shower in it due to some day she will be too elderly to climb stairs to the master bedroom so she will live in the down stairs bedroom..The main bath is upstairs on the 2nd level along with the master bath.

oh, well in that case, when she's too old to climb stairs, then she probably will want a seat in the shower, you're right.
