I'm finally going back to school (out since Fall 2000). Yay me.

Yep. It's going to be a bitch finding open classes that I want this late in the registration period, but I'm just taking two classes, and at $5 a credit hour, I don't care too much if it's underwater basket weaving just as long as I get my ass back into the fray and get the ball rolling again.

Just thought I'd share. :)

I'm finally leaving school in April (in since Fall 2000). This has been quite possibly one of the worst experiences of my entire life.

Yeah, I hear ya. I only have 30 hours under my belt. I completed one full year in '98/'99. I came out with a 3.78 GPA, but the pressure of having to keep a 3.5 minimum to retain my biggest scholarship, along with not having any earthly idea where I wanted to take my life made for a pretty miserable experience.

Now I feel that I can have a decent life even while going to school instead of feeling like I'm in hell, and I have more of an idea of what I want to do, so it's not as bad. Still, it's going to suck, but probably not as bad as the ever-increasing feeling that I'm an underachiever with a stagnant life and unrealized potential.

In the same boat as you, going back to school after a long layoff, got my associates degree but decided its not what i want to do for the rest of my life, so back i go with a Biochem major this spring, should be interesting to see if i can handle work, school, life. Best of luck Cas.

$5/credit ??? Is that some sort of employee discount or something? I wish I could get that.

I'm a full time appointed staff member at the main library on campus. I even have a title- LAT I, or Library Academic Technician, level I. LOL. So yeah, I get classes for $5 a credit hour plus activity fees, and I can study a little on the job. It's a pretty cool deal. I'll probaby go full time next fall. This is kind of a warmup.
