I hurt my right knee today. Not severely but the pain is there. I already hurt my left one in high school so im done with this lifting stuff. Thanks for your help everyone. Im just gonna stick to a cardio bike and light weight upper body. Thanks for all the help

Sounds like you found the excuse you were looking for to stop. Congratulations, you are a quitter and proud of it! Now make sure you go to the gym and tie up the machines with no weight on them, so our workouts are delayed!:bawling:
 
I agree with satan. You quit cause you hurt your knee? I have worked out with torn ligaments (wearing a cast) along with other injuries over the last 3 years. If i wanted an excuse to stop i would have found one already. good luck with the cardio!
 
I was at the gym the day after I had ACL surgery. I was on crutches so I wobbled over and did some upper body. Never quit.

Good! Just being my straight up self, keep us posted now that you are motivated again. Focus your training like it is going to repair that injury and you'll be well in no time.
 
Good choice to stick with it. I worked out in a knee brace for three months once when I tore my lateral meniscus.
 
listen bro I have had two knee operations and was told to have a third, but opted to try to rehab it myself. If all it took you was to twist your knee one day and then you need to be talked in of the preverbial ledge from dropping weights, you might as well quit. I am sorry and I am sure others will disagree but what serious weight lifters do is more of a life style than a hobby. If your thinking about just throwing in the towel that easy your eventually gonna do it, you just need a better excuse apparently. I know guys that hit the weight hard that have had rotator cuff ops over and over but it doesnt stop them.



aaahhhh anyway I rant on. I guess you get my point anyway.
 
Sorry bro Ill feel like walking when im older. Im only 20 yrs old> I shouldnt be having knee problems. Im just gonna be smarter about how I do things.
 
well at least you have a reason not to work legs, and after your shoulder hurts you will have an excuse not to work upperbody. The I feel like walking later thing is old bro. Watch your form and keep squating. It is actually better for your joints if the muscles connected to them are stronger.
 
Thats what I plan on doing. Im squatting free weight squat twice a week. Dude its not looking for a excuse. If that was the case I would of stopped along time ago when I damaged my shoulder. I'll just warm up better before I squat next time
 
bro I know this may make me seem like an ass, but I was trying to get you pissed off enough at me to say, "fuck that mother fucker I will show him" and get you to stay training. How deep are you squatting??......alot of people with long legs get knee pains if they go ass-to-the floor. And if you are bouncing at the bottom.....dont.

im only 5"11 but now that I think about it I think im bouncing at the bottom.

Abbaddon , it worked. In all honesty im not looking for a excuse. I think I found my reason for knee pain. Im bouncing at the bottoma and moving to fast. Thanks for being a asshole......good pickerupper
 
glad it worked, wish I could be that way to half my fucking clients. I have to train this guy today that hired me two weeks ago. Two days ago he asked my why he hasnt lost any weight. Later he says he was running late and would miss his daily trip to KFC. I knew you werent looking for an excuse but sometimes it just takes someone to push your buttons to get people to see things straight that is why my woman trains me. Nothing will get that extra rep out faster than the woman you live with telling you ,"push you pussy..push" talk about forced reps. lol
