I'm back. However its going to be a bit......

I thought it was just the cold weather playing havoc with the stiffness in my knee but as of late its started to bother me. I went an got an MRI about 2 weeks ago and we went over the films today. My new ACL is fine, praise the Lord, however there seems to be a complex tear in my medial meniscus. As most of you know, I've had two surgeries on this knee so far, first one was a partial menisectomy (sp) and meniscual repair, and the next was like a month later, my ACL reconstruction. My ACL is doing AWESOME, however they were two different doctors, a different one did the ACL than did the meniscul surgeries. It appears the repair the first doctor did failed, so I'm probably going to have another menisectomy, this time on the medial side. Great. I'm getting the guy who did my ACL to do everything this time. They will either do a repair or a shaving. If they do the repair, its more invasive, and I won't be able to walk for around 4 weeks or so I belive. If they do the shaving (partial menisectomy), then I'll be ok in a few days. Wonderful. The problem is they can't repair some complex meniscus tears, and mine appears to be just that. The good part is that I'll be better worlds faster with the shaving, the bad part is I'll be losing some cartiledge. Its a toss up, I'll probably have the shaving if the tear is bad enough. Here's whats funny. I'm in practically no pain most of the time. I can squat down with no pain, and I can jump and move around ok with no pain, so I'm assuming its not bad at all. He said it is a complex tear, and they can't repair those, so I'll probably have the partial shaving. I should be back soon. Its been such a long journey for me. If you guys remember, it was April fool's day all this started. I can't get my old name back since I haven't been on in awhile. I do have some old pics for inspiration though!!! These were taken back on March 31st. I was about 205 or so then, at a height of 5 foot 7. So I hope I can get back to this soon:

I'm quite a bit leaner than that now, from all the cardio for physical therapy. Keep me in your prayers fellahs.
