After spending my own prolonged period of life in marriage counseling, I can tell you that things are NOT what they seem. You cannot make ones' attitude change towards you, just because you're you. It's a given in most situations that single men his age are looking to have "fun"; however, there are ALWAYS exceptions. In fact, there are many that I can think of. Yet, somehow, in this situation it seems to me that you want him so much that he probably realizes that he can get away w/ just doing what he wants.

It all boils down to how much he knows that you want him, if it's fairly known then you have problem. In turn, acquiescence to the problem should not be an option; if the prior is known, you should not pursue the guy.
