IGF 1 Diet advice

Need some help on my diet while on IGF 1, I've never used it before but have been looking at it for a few years and decided to grab some while in the middle of my lean bulking cycle. I'm currenly on test e at 750mg per week, in week 8 of 16. I will be adding long igf-1 @ 40mcg post workout starting this wed(so that will be 3 shots per week total) I've been gaining steady about 1-2lbs per week so far, but my bf has shot up more than I'd like. I started at 177 @10.2%bf after a spring cutting cycle in which I dropped from 205 @ 15%, right now I am at 188 @12.4%. My goal is to get back to 200 but at 10-12%bf. I'm eating about 150-200 calories over maintenance right now, very clean(oatmeal, wheat bread, chicken, peanut butter, milk, and protien shakes are my core foods), snacks are all fruits or yogurt. My question is for people who have used this before, can I up my calories to 500 over maintenance while on and still lean out? I tend to gain fat pretty easily no matter how clean I eat, so I am a bit nervous. Also how many carbs should I have in my post workout meal? Thanks in advance for the help.

You are being to specific when it comes to caloric intake with regards to adding something to your body. We are all different and as such what works for me may not work for you.
IGF will help with lean muscle gain and burning some fat. 50g of carbs immediately post injection is good.

and sleepy

Thanks goin on 4t....just my personality type to try and dial things in to a T. I'm going to take the advice and just kind of listen to my body and see if how that works for the first week or so, then adjust accordingly. I'm planning on taking some before and after photos as well that I'll post at the end of my cycle.

cool good idea with the pics, enjoy don't take it for more than 40 days, than take 20 off.

still waiting on my igf-1 to arrive, damn USPS. Hopefully getting started this week, if not next monday for sure. I've snapped some before pics the other day of me 188 and 12.8%bf(according to my ever varying digital tester). I'm testing the same time everyday, so hopefully its at least consistent in terms of showing loss and gain. For the record, via the calipers I'm at 12.7. I've upped my calories slightly so far, to 300 over maintenance in anticipation of the igf, hoping to bump all the way to 500 over when I get on it. Everyone says to expect about 1lb per week of lean mass from the igf alone, so that would put me up to 196 at the end of the igf. I figure with the test added in there hitting 200 shouldn't be too much of a stretch. Staying lean though, thats my challenge lol.

Well you would be surprised how sleepy you get during the day for the first week and yes the hunger is ok becuase your body is able to put on so much lean muscle and its kind of like tren where you think the fat just melts off.

So my IGF-1 finally arrived today, and I've decided to start my cycle tomorrow, by injecting PWO with 40mcg. I'm going to continue that for about 4 weeks, at 40mcg 3x per week all PWO. this is in addition to 750mg of test e per week. I've been trying to lean bulk so far, and have been pretty happy with the results, I'm up 11lbs over all, but have stalled out the last 2 weeks at 188. I've been eating at 250 over maint and adding more cals has only resulted in my bf% climbing not my weight. When I start the IGF I'm going to bump my calories up to 500 over maint and give it 2 weeks to see what kind of results I get before I change anything. I'm hoping to gain about 2-4lbs, and stay at 12.8%bf or perhaps even drop it a bit. I'll post updates on my progress and thoughts as I go, I've taken some before pics, and in 2 weeks I'll take some more and post the comparison. Here goes nothing lol.........

i wouldent worry about it much man, throw in a cup of juice or 20g of dextrose post injection.

Sleepyness is associated with HGH not igf-1 from my experience. Taking igf-1 shouldn't effect your diet much. I would be more concerned with maximizing it's insulin like effect through your diet.

I don't know, I think I've noticed a bit of "sleepy" with igf-1, definitely hungry. But, I notice more tiredness with gh peptides. Damn, they made me lethargic as hell the first week. I felt high the first couple days.

Day 1:

Took my first shot today, 40mcg in my right front delt(a lagging part for me). I decided against doing bilateral pinning and will just rotate injection sites. Shot was easy and painless, didn't notice anything after the shot, except for a sort of weird headache type feeling that came on within a min of the shot, but was gone after about 5min. I downed a shake with 70g carbs, and 56g of protein right after my shot, and then had a peanut butter sandwich and some more protein about an hour later. Diet is about 400 over maintenance today and tomorrow, then bumping up to 500 over on monday.

I get hypo real easy with IGF1LR3. I MUST eat every two hours. Ive always used during more
of a bulk phase than when I have been trying to get ripped. I think you could try upping the calories
maybe even just 250 per day and see how you do.

Day 3:

Trained chest and bi's today, had a real good workout. Haven't noticed much from the igf yet, maybe some increased hunger, but that's about all. Shot went smooth today, injected 40mgs into my left pec, no headache or other sensations after shooting. Had my PWO shake right after, now getting ready for a 2nd meal about an hour or so later(for some reason I'm already hungry).

Should start to feel it middle of second week.

I've done a lot of IGf including uppwards of 100mcg and I can tell you that you are expecting way too much in terms of gains. IGF effects wont be really noticed till 6-9 months later. Why? Cuz it takes a long time to create new muscle cells and get those muscle cells to mature. If you take 100mcg daily then maybe you will see better results but it takes time and everyone of my friends I've talked to said the same thing. If you go by 1-2 lbs gained per week that would be 8lbs a month...no way!
Sleepiness mostly occurs in the high dosage area of 100mcg but will subside with time and yes you will get hungrier a bit more.

Remember I am stacking this with 750mg of test per week, I don't think 1-2lbs with that is out of line..

Mixed with test is different, most gains will come from test
I had the impression you were expecting that mass gain from
igf then add the test in the equation. Diet wise on IGF in your case I would just eat to grow 500cal over manitenance or even more. just becareful when the cycle ends to cut back on your extra calories cuz you will gain fat quickly.

Most gains with IGF I've experienced like I said has been 6-12 months later. After a bunch of IGF cycles I did an test only cycle of 500mg a week and gained 18 lbs. For me to gain that much weight after so many years on the juice is too much but it was off the hook. I was mostly used to gain 6-10lbs at best and with a lot more gear than just 500mg of test.
I think IGF is somewhat missunderstood and perhaps ppl expect a lot from it in a short period of time. IMO IGF should be cycled for about a year to get the true benefit from it's use.

Thanks for the diet advice, I am eating 500 over so far this week, bodyfat is holding steady and weight is up 1lb so far. I know the test is going to do most of the work, what I am hoping for is maybe a slight boost in mass from the igf and a leaning out effect. I'm really looking forward to 6-12 months from now if what your saying is true, as I am planning a mass cycle for early next year.

For those wondering today is Day 5:
Wt: 189
Bf%12.5

Had a great workout today, felt strong and didn't seem to wear out at the end...not sure if thats because of the increased calories or the igf, but either way it was good. Also, odd side note, but the last two nights I have had very frequent and vivid dreams. Not sure what is up with that, usually I don't remember dreams at all. Not sure what to make of that yet... I have definitely been feeling a bit of fatigue at random times especially evenings.

A slight boost is more like it ,,,I would say 2-4 solid lbs from IGF is more in the realm of expectations. Those extra calories will def help along with IGF, will increase your stamina in the gym. Not sure about the dreams though..maybe something random.
I feel fatique sometimes too just sleep good and eat frequesntly so your blood sugar doesnt drop too much and the energy will kick in again.
You can also do IGF without any AAS later after this cycle. 4 weeks or so will be perfect then next year like you said do an AAS cycle and see

Day 7:
Shot went easily into my left tricep today, no problems there. I've started to notice the arthritic feeling people have mentioned, nothing major at all but my fingers just feel stiff. It's not painful, I'm definitely just aware of the sensation. Other than that, the vivid dreams continue, but I have noticed I seem to be sleeping a bit longer as well, maybe an extra half hour or so per night. Not feeling lethargic or anything today, but then today is one of my higher carb days(290g) so I'm usually feel my best on those. Sunday will be the real test since I am going low carb(150g) then. Weight and bf have held pretty steady, but I am looking leaner and fuller in the mirror. I'm thinking I should start noticing some more effects next week...

Day:11
Took the igf, PWO in my right pec today. Finally had some weight gain over the weekend, so I'm up 2lbs and 0.3% bf. I'm going to keep a close eye on my bf% this week, and if it's still going up by friday, I am going to adjust my calories down by 200. Oddly enough despite the higher reading on my bf%, I feel like I am looking a tiny bit leaner in the mirror. I'm going to change up my macro's this week to 20% fat 30% carb and 50% protein, from 25% fat, 35%carb and 40% protein....see if that has any effect as well. Any one know if I should do anything different with the macro's while on?

Day 13:
Nothing really new to report, weight and bf% holding steady. The arthirtic feeling in my knuckles is really kicking in, its not real painful or anything but I am aware of it all day now.

Normally with test you need to eat more period. Now by taking the IGF it counteracts the fat deposit normally seen with a testosterone cycle. If I were you and want to keep fat at bay keep fat intake low but keep carbs and protein high to mantain the anabolic state in your body. Test doesnt work well with a low carb or low caloric diet.
If you so worried about fat deposits then last meal of the night make it carbs free and start doing some cardio in the morning on an empty stomach 2-3x a week.

Thanks for the tip, I'll switch up tomorrow and put the fat down to 20% again, and the rest carbs and protien. My last 2 meals are always carb free as it is, I will take your suggestion about the am cardio though, just some light cardio for 15min or so 2-3 days per week.

Day 13:
No change again from previous day, arthritic feeling still very present, but other than that I feel great, sleeping like a baby and waking up feeling very refreshed. I've been up ahead of my alarm clock all week, and usually getting about 7.25-8 hours of sleep a night.

Day 18:
Things really seem to be shaping up this week, my bf has begun a slight decrease from a high of 12.9, down to 12.5 today. nothing major but I am please as I am eating more calories 600 over maintenance, and still making some slow but steady gains. I'm on a moderate carb/fat high protien diet. My marcros are 30% fat 20%carb and 50% protien. It's been harder getting my fats up as I usually eat a very low fat diet, but my body seems to be responding well. Also I have added 3 days per wk of slow(3.4mph) cardio in the AM on an empty stomach. Strength is way up, I continue to be able to add 5-10lbs per week on my last set on all exercises. In general, I am feeling good and very pleased with how things are going. I have gotten comments about looking leaner, and more vascular while working out.
