If you lost your job, what would you do instead?

Lets imagine that you lost the job you were in right now and for some reason couldn't apply for a similar position. (Say you got fired as it was obvious you hated the profession you were in).

What would you do as a career alternative instead?

I work as a teacher and I think I'd go and buy myself a taxi if I had to change professions.

What would you do?

i'd buy myself a taxi and put all the other taxi's out of work and make them choose a new profession.

I'd get me a good skateboard, and latch on to the back of Stilleto's taxi to get to different corners and panhandle.

I would do what I currently do, only on my own from home. I have clients from my current job who would probably use me for their business.

Plus I'm pretty handy in anything construction related so I may do small residental jobs like that on the side.

Hard to say, I enjoy what I do and I work for myself... Hmm

If I needed a job for money I would either get a job for bulder as a project manager or sell women's clothing in one of the many boutique stores out here.

It's funny because when I went off on my own I was scared that if I failed everyone would know (small town) and I would have to change fields - I couldn't figure anything out then either.

GReat market, lots of stress and lots of reward.
If my french were better, that is what I would have been already.

If I lost my job, I would go back to school or own my own biz again.
