i know for the facebook one, you have to actually click a link and then install sketchy software to get the virus. So people who use facebook normally and don't install random stuff like a dumbass have nothing to worry about

Delete... I require people to know my last name on myspace now. I get no spam and no random add me's. Facebook is the sameway...

the majority of the times i accept a random friend request on facebook, the person turns out to be a creepy weirdo, sometimes stalker too.

No, if I don't know who you are I wont add you. One time a good buddy tried to add me as a friend, but I didn't know his display name, and he had no pics of himself.... Sorry.... No add for you.

On Myspace, maybe.

On Facebook, a pre-requisite is that I know you from school, work, or some other real-time venue.

i used to add them until i had over 400 friends. now i have a little over 100 and i know them all. quite a few from here so not all personally but i do know them all.

damn! thats a lot of friends! I am at a weird age (27) where half my friends gave up online social networking sites or never did it at all.

I was a jock through school. I was a jock through university. I was captain of the wrestling team, MVP track & field team and cross country team. I started fighting for real in highschool and gained a lot of friends though that. And then I moved to Canada and met a lotta people as well. When I travel to diff exotic locations, Sharm El Sheikh, Cuba, etc...I meet a lotta people as well.....so 1000 friends doesnt seem like much...

I am still friends with some people I went with to middle school lol
