Cindy - someone gave me this book to read. Can't say it changed my life because I always lived the same but it really eliminated a lot of that internal struggle of what they keep telling you in church that you keep saying - "wait - really?"

If I can't trust the words, why bother

I think the whole book still provides good stories and great moral direction and foundation. No one would be at a loss of anything for spending time reading the bible. You can only gain from it IMO.

Oh probably about like I am - not really. Really living in Asia was what really started separating me from Christianity.

I was like, wait a minute, good quality people here living a very rightous life. Now why are they burning in hell just because they did not live within a few hundred miles of some mythical man named Moses or Jesus Christ?? Nope - that one is not working for me.

Have to believe their is a God that has more of a worldly view on life.

Good for you. There are many Christians who don't. Probably the majority and that is my issue with Christianity.
