If you don't believe Jesus Christ was/is God...

olololo2 @ the peeps who don't believe, then get a terminal diagnosis and start to try to cope a plea

You believe the biblical teachings of Jesus, yet half of the time He is walking around claiming to be the Son of God? So which is it? Is He lying or is He crazy or is He the Son of God? If He is not God then He has to be one or the other. He claimed that He could forgive sins and He says He always existed. He says He is coming to judge the world. A man who is just a man who says the things that Jesus said is not a great teacher/prophet. He never left that option for us.

I don't think Jesus every claimed to be the son of God or believed he was. That was all invented by the people who wrote the new testimate. As mentioned here before, Christianity is a religion about Jesus - not the religion Jesus was teaching.

So.... I think you can believe in what Jesus was teaching without having to believe Jesus was the son of God or any thing else that goes along with the new testimate. Just because you don't believe the son of God issue does not mean you can't go to a Christian church and pick up some of the teachings of Jesus. He was a very enlightened dude and had some good stuff to say.

You could also go see Godspell. It does a better job getting the point across in a much more entertaining fashion.

That is the way I reconcile all this.

EXCELLENT thank you for posting this.:rose:

Jesus had more neutral statements in some translations like "the father is in me" and "through me"

this can mean that the Reader should pay attention to his Example and to take a look at his acts

So he said he would rise again after three days...before he died. what kind of person says that? Is that another lie by the church added to scripture?
