Can A Doc prescribe some test? Or do I need to go to an endocrenologist????

Depends on your health insurance & whether or not you want them to pay for it. I plan on having my test level checked & I need to get a referral for the bloodwork from my GP in order to have it checked, & then if it's low, see an endocrinologist (who has to prescribe the testosterone). Depending on the endo & your level, he may give you the choice between the test cream or injections.
I did a little research, and there are home testosterone tests that use your saliva to check the level...don't know how reliable they are...but it may give you some idea of whether or not to proceed (if you have to pay for it out of pocket).

A GP should be able to prescribe it, However an endo should have more knowledge which translates to a better HRT regimen.

I currently have a script for test from a GP - I told him I didn't want the patch because of skin irritation. My test levels were low/normal, but the doc told me that test levels were relative. The key for him was - were the symptoms for which I was getting the test going away or not with treatment. My symptoms (headaches, overall tireness, generally not feeling well and a low libido) go away when I get a script for 6 vials of test-cyp every six months and 60 Nolva tabs each month. Its amazing. The only side effects I have to live with are muscle gain and fat reduction, but I'm getting used to these - they are generally tolerable.

How long have you been on HRT for? And what are your test levels at now?
