all will be right with the world

i just changed into my #8 tank top, matching hat, and pants with DEI written across the ass.....I'm so ready to rock-n-roll.....let's get this damn race started! :)

p.s.----jimmy johnson/jeff gordon both need to die....

Jeff Gordon is funny lookin now that he's goin bald.

Cool. Not a race fan but the race is only ten minutes from my house. A lot of nice looking tractor trailer rigs and racing teams are staying at the hotels around here. It's really the only race I watch all year and usually just the last 50 laps or so.

Never have been to a race though.

I guess you lose.

what frightens me is that this is probably a fair impression of his writing skills....granted he isn't the brightest lamp in the building, BUT he has a good heart and knows his racing shit like nobody's business.....

besides, he's cute and drives a car 200 mph w/out blinking an eye....
hot hot hot

Jimmy and Jeff are awesome drivers! so eat shit :doublefi:

15 years ago stock car racing (NASCAR) was strictly a southern thing. Now it is so mercilessly hyped the whole thing is insufferable.

Give me a F1 race on a roadcourse any day over a bunch of guys turning left for 500 miles. I want to see guys constantly rowing through a six speed gearbox from 20mph hairpins to 230mph straights. Now that's racing.

I dont know if he could TripleB. The kind of racing I described demands a lot more skill. A few NASCAR drivers have tried an open wheeled race car on a road course and did very poorly.

Did you see that PR stunt about 6 months or so ago when some Formula 1 driver and one of the NASCAR boy switched cars and ran several laps? The F1 guy did fine in the stock car but the NASCAR guy ran like an old lady in the open wheeled car and complained afterward that he hated it.

mmmm.....i didn't catch that unless it was when jeff gordon did it and then I just turned off the t.v. because I can't stand that man.....

your prob right though....except Junior is the one race car driver that takes all the risks except maybe Robbie Gordon.....Junior gets closers, drives harder, and faster than any of the other guys imo....and he's hot...not that I care or anything :)

if these f1 guys are so skilled why do they do so poorly in the iroc series, needless to say i dont like jeff gorden, but he was turning compareble lap times in the f1 car as the regular driver.

I don't agree.I think if you take the Formula 1 drivers and put them on the Nascar schedule they wouldn't do very well just as the Nascar drivers wouldn't in the Formula races. There's really no comparison. The successful
Nascar drivers also make alot more money than Formula drivers.

watching cars go in circles is soo boring, now rally car racing grabs my attention a little more, (subaru awd) they race in snow and off road......much better

Yep I remember that. He did really well. I think he even suggested at one time he really wanted to be an F1 driver but stayed in NASCAR because the money was so much better.

My brother.

Rally racing is like ultimate fighting, but in cars. LOLOL. There used to be a rally class B where they called the cars "the killer B's". But they got detuned because they were so wildly powerful (0-60 in 2.5 seconds, on dirt!!) the drivers lost control a lot and too many fans got injured.

There is a reason behind Nascar becoming so popular over the years and the open wheel racing still has no where near the popularity and fan following as Nascar. 1 reason being that you can relate to Nascar better than open wheel, the cars are made to resemble legal street cars that the avg Joe drives on his way to work in the morning, no one can relate to goofy looking open wheel cars with nothing over your head. It goes the same with all sports, for example football, people love it because they can go out and throw the ball around during a game or play in a touch league, same with racing. The 2nd reason is when you go to watch a Nascar race, you can see the entire track and everything that is going on, whether they are going in circles or not. If you were to go to an open wheel race you only see about 100 yards of the race or just one turn, the rest of what is going on you will not see.

I am a huge Nascar fan, but sorry TB, Little E is a good driver, but, Ryan Newman is my boy.

In a sport where they could very well die on any given lap, that is a harsh statement, even in jest.

eh....it was in jest, but i'll reduce that statement from i hope they die to i hope they don't win :)
