Just have a question................can you hit one bodypart a day using 5x5 and just incorporate a few other exercises......

currently I do:

MONDAY - OFF, TUES - CHEST/CLVES, WED- BACK/DELTS, THURSDAY-ARMS, FRIDAY - OFF SAT - LEGS, SUN - CHEST/CLVES

COULD I DO:

M - OFF
T - CHEST/CLVES
W - DELTS
TH - OFF
FRI - BACK
SAT - LEGS

WITH THE SAME EFFECT? MAYBE MORE BECAUSE I'M PRETTY BEAT UP ON BACK/DELT DAY ESP. IF I DO DEADS FIRST.........

Wens-Back
Thu-rest
Fri Delts
Sat-Legs
Sun rest
Mon-rest

then you can mix up the secondary body part and do different rep schemes, I prefer a little more volume on arms with less weight working on speed of contraction and fluid motions
 
right on bro - can I see your sets and rep scheme........for back and delts...........how is it workin for you and whats your diet like? I've been following your other post and it appears like you are training multiple bodyparts, no?"

My log can tell you my current scheme my old split was different:
Tue: Incline 5x5, Flat Bench 2x8 Dips 2x12, calves 3x10 standing 3x20 seated.
Wens: Rows 5x5, pulldowns 2x8, deads 2x6-8 (heavy), shurgs 4x10

Fri- Military press 5x5, pushpress 2x8, rear flyes or facepulls 2x12,Pushdowns 3x10, overhead ext 3x12
Sat-Squat 5x5, SLDL 2x8, Hack squat or Front squat 2x8, Barbell curl 3x10, EZ curl 3x12

Nothing fancy, tryed for solid form every time
 
I like it...how long did it take you each session? 1hr? Any cardio? I'm still doing double duites (lifting or cardio in am, the other in the PM).....and I think it's f-ing with my gains........How was your diet? Clean?
 
it usually took me about 45 minutes for weight and on Tue and Sat after weight I would sprint, or at least try on Sat. My diet was relatively clean, a lot of protein and a lot of low GI carbs. By havng such low volume I was able to push really hard and get some great gains
 
See, I'm still doing cardio daily and my carbs are pretty low.........so, obviously, my gains arent what I'd like them to be, but I hate having to give up the 6-7%bf..........I know, I know.....it's one or the other
