Age: 23
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 130-140 depending on the time of day

Did the 5x5 two years ago and put on 17 pounds that I still have today. Went through the normal college drunken time of my life. Wanna get started back to looking good so back to the 5x5 it is.

Monday:

squat: 45,55,75,90,105
Bench: 45,45,60,75,85
Row: 45,55,75,90,105

Everything felt good, my legs are killing me today though. Everything feels light to a point. Didnt do hypers or situps, will start on them next week.

Food: (going for 3k a day)

cals: 2822
fat: 62
carb: 428
protein: 154

The only supplement right now is using nlarge2 for one meal.

I'll be following along......you sound like a mountain of untapped potential, you should make enormous gains. At 6'2 and 130-140 (unless that kilos, lol) you need to hammer down the eating, not the "diet", but the eating......If you're at 3000 cals now, look to up that by 500 cals a week, you could be one of those guys who needs 8000 cals to consistently put on weight......but I am looking forward to this journal as you could put 100s upon 100s of pounds on your lifts and probably double your bodyweight within 2 years......

The problem appears to be in bold...
I think your calories sohuld be more like 5k instead of 3k and the fats should be wayyyy higher.
 
I agree, for someone that is 6'2" and 140, 2800-3000 calories a day are NOTHING. You probably burn that up walking down the sidewalk. You have a fast metabolism, and are a hardgainer. You better pump it up to about 6000 at day at minimum if you want to gain max size.
 
I think you should just see where the 3k cals get you after a week or two and then adjust your cals intake accordingly. you need to give your body time for bigger amounts of food as well, I doubt that you are going to feel good going from 2k-2.5k cals a day to 5k-8k cals from one day to another.
 
i think 4k is a minimum you should attempt to get in on any given day... and then try to overshoot that as many days as possible.
 
My 2 cc's worth:


I have tried both versions.....for me 2 progressively heavier warm-ups followed by 3 working sets of the same weight worked best for me
 
So somehow I hurt my legs really bad lifting on monday, so I took an extra day off, so heres thursday.

Thursday:

Squat: 45,55,75,75
Incline: 45,45,45,45
Deadlift: 55,75,90,105

still no crunches for the week, will be starting back with them next week.

For all the people that say I aint eating enough, I know this, I decided every week I'll add 500 cals and eventually I'll get to 6-8k. I dont know if its mental or something but eating over 3k is just hard right now. So this week is 3k and next week will be 3.5k and so on, I'll get there eventually.

Food:
didnt have time to track it all out, its easily at or over 3k, I need to get better at tracking what I eat so I have some idea of how much.
