Thanks for the words of encouragement and kindness. I go in to Human Resources in an hour to get my severance package and to find out how I will be paid over the next 7 months. At least I am lucky that I don't have to worry about money while I am looking, I have several friends who haven't gotten anything at all. FYI, I worked for Janus Capital (Janus Funds). I go in on Monday to clean out my office and Tuesday I get my gold watch and a party. I will be glad to be out of there next week.

i'm a little stressed, obviously, because i will definitely have to worry about money, but on the other hand i'm relieved since i hated this job. i didn't plan on staying here much longer anyway.

they haven't told me what kind of severance they will give me, but i'm sure it will be a joke. i'll be lucky if i can get a week's pay from these assholes.

man, what is happening to the economy? this is getting out of hand...
