I still dont think the guy is a pro, Im still even more befuddled why he wont attack on weekends?? If he left the card, he is not a pro.. It's interesting that the govt would consider ex rangers in the area as possible suspects... that means they still have no clue who's doing it.
Im now starting to believe there are two or more people involved.. and I bet the cops have already confronted the shooter with out knowing it...

Is the guy a qualified Military Sniper...Probally not, or if he is, he's one cocky muther fucker...
If they are working in a group of two, they are most likely using walkie talkies(the kind you get a radio shack), they will need some kind of commo once the shot is completed...If in fact they are, this will lead to their capture....
If he(they) did in fact leave the tarot card...mark of an amatuer. good snipers never leave anything behind to give clues of their where abouts
The snipes are a bit to close together and brings even more attention to their mission...however fucked up it may be
They are pretty much operating in a closed, confined area....not moving too much, again this lets those looking for him/they a shorter range to catch them
What makes this hard for police is the guy(s) are selecting random targets of opportunity which makes it hard to center on one specific group to watch...meaning no one is safe...
If they are using the same one or two vehicles each time....again, lack of training and poor judgement.
The round used(.223 5.56 ball) is actually a good round to use in this type terrian, even if you do miss, with it's velocity, it can bounce off anything and still cause damage...though unlikely....
He is using body shots which leads me to belive he may have military training, but due to his actions of EE and evidence he leaves tends to point away from qualified sniper(s)....
Can't rule out terrorism at this point....and if it is, in fact the operation of terrorists, you will begin to see the very same operations in other parts of the USA....makes you wonder in fact why the area of DC(our Capatial) was choosen first....
MOUT(Military Operations in Urbanized Terrian) for snipers is very, very costly...and the operations differ completely from that of Marine Scout Snipers....this type operation is a whole different ball game with completely different area of operation, and infiltration and escape dialouges to ensure a successful mission...
We can all sit here and discuss this and conclude he/they are snipers, red necks, pro military, physco's, terrorists...etc.
Bottom line...they need to be caught....quickly.
This is pretty much what I told them, and believe me, they have much more qualified folks than me to help them out right there in Quantico, and other locals close by....
I wish them the best of luck....

what is the best way to prove your not a pro? leave evidence,they know already how pro's work,but i believe this person,or persons is trying to throw them off,which seems to be working
not just everyone can make these shots,read chesty's thread,he knows this rifle very well and knows time delay etc for this weapon

Yes Vix, they did ask what type and how many weapons I personally own, I do not in fact own anything in a .223 cal. However, I do own a Savage .222/20 guage over and under for turkeys....
And I do have a sniper rifle I personally put together for long range shooting of varmits...two actually...
1. A 6mm Mag, fully fiber glass embedded, free floating barrel, accurized, Rem 700bdl custom delux, Rhinite stock, and replaced the Rem ejectors and extractor with Sako, and a 6 X 18 power redfield accu-track scpoe...(I hunt deer with this from time to time)
2. My pride and joy...22.250, Sako, fully reworked actions, ejectors and extractors, Douglass bull barrel, Hamilton bi-pods, accurized, free floating barrel, feather weight stock, fully bedded, fluted barrel, and a 20 power(fixed) Jurntal scope with precussion mounts....My Dad burns groundhogs up with this handy little piece....heh heh heh

I think there are direct reasons why we dont see killings on weekends.. and hopefully the answer will lead police closer to culprit.
I do not think this is organized.. that is a question that comes up becuase so many are baffled how some one can get away with this bullshit.. so it must be some big clandestined thing.. I think it is a couple a wana be bad guys... and I hope they fry those god damned mother fuckers... or stone them to death.. I'll fucking take a brick to their nuts and turn em into brie...
