They gonna make her move out?

oh, they would cancel our lease in a heartbeat.

to get a dog friendly place in my area, expect to spend $200 more per month + plop down a $500 deposit with which you only get $200 back.

it's insane.

lol I was talking about your girl.

any ideas how to go about doing this?

my girl wants a pet cat, but i am super allergic to them - itchy eyes, hives, etc.

well, they have hypoallergenic cats that don't produce a certain protein that most people are allergic to. sounds great, right? wrong.

these fucking cats are $900 each...for a cat! i could maybe understand paying that much for a really awesome dog...but a cat? come on, now.

so, i was like, 'sure, go get one...but you better breed the damn thing at least once to get our money back.' and herein lies the problem. every last breeder makes you sign a contract saying you will have the cat spayed/neutered and you won't breed it. you even have to send in a copy of the vet work as verification.

and these are breeders nationwide.

i'm not that fond of cats...but i hate monopolies more. how could i go about breaking up their little party without getting sued in the process?

these people are simply taking advantage of people with allergies and price gouging them as a result.
While I dislike monopolies, I'm revolted by genetic modifications more. You cannot break this monopoly, the cats are not released from the breeders control sexually intact.

I have 7 cats. I consider cats essential household equipment. I'm begging your girlfriend not to get one of those things. There are so many good animals that are destroyed every single day there is just no reason to waste all that money on an animal that's been modified for a specific trait, which will probably make it fucked up in other traits.

If your GF loves cats so much, tell her to donate her time or money to the many no kill shelters and that help rehab thrown away cats.

Hell wit it, if ya want the damn cat, get it..... If not, don't. Why piss on the parade just because you don't wanna play the game?

we totally would adopt a cat. in fact, we even went to our local animal shelter this weekend to check them out.

but we really cannot adopt a regular cat. i am far too allergic to them to do so. if i wasn't, i wouldn't even think twice about playing these games with these fanatics.

i don't think these are genetically engineered. it's just a certain breed (siberians) that do not produce that protein.

oh yeah, that $200 more per month is not even considering the monthly 'pet rent' of $50/month.

it's robbery.
What pet rent wtf? Where do you live that is retarded?
