I want a rowing machine

went to physical therapy tonight and mentioned maybe a rowing machine because my back is screwed up......and in none of the places that a rower will fuck it up more..

so the physical therapist is also a personal trainer and pt is in the gym so she said...lets go get good form on the rower!

so...we went for a spin...I need one of these stat....

what am I buying under 3k...I'll order it tonight..

Cocept2 D model should be under 2K.

I'm a machine on the ergometer. I seriously love that thing. No better cardio machine if used correctly (form is definitely crucial here....the concept2 website has videos demonstrating).

I did crew in college and this is the ergometer we used.....no one makes better indoor rowers than concept2

You should be able to find them all over on-line for around $1,100.


Great rowers for the price, as long as none of the users are 225+lbs. The frame bows pretty good with larger people on it. I also don't care for chain, but it's not a big enough deal to lose sleep over.

I should have added, for the price they sell them at.

But I am a serious rower and I see no need for anything more than a timer, a 500 meter split time, and smooth mechanics.

I've used other models, including ones that actually had water in them, and I hated them all.

the rowing machine has been a regular part of my cardio routine since my knees went south on me...nothing fries me like that damn thing, either!

sometimes, for shits and giggles, i'll do 4 mins on the rowing machine, 3 mins on the heavy bag and 3 mins on the elliptical or spinner bike...non-stop...at high intensity...for 3 or 4 revolutions...or until i fall down...big fun!

I ordered a concept 2 model D this afternoon...when it shows up and my husband says wtf to it being set up in our room...I'll blame it on having a high fever when I bought it

this seemed like the perfect solution to me not being able to run...kinda hoping he'll get into it too cuz he cant run at the moment either
my right pec hurts today tho...normal? my left arm has limited grip and ROM because of the fuct nerve...
