I, too, am planning a trip

stilleto

ELITE MENTOR
EF VIP
to vegas. 4 or 5 days.

i'm choosing a hotel and want to stay on the strip, in one of the big ones. either belagio, circus-circus, mgm grand, luxor, mirage, or mandalay bay.

I've been to vegas years ago, but didn't stay at any of those, i just strolled through. i know the belagio is beautiful, but have any of you stayed at the others? give me your opinions on them, good or bad. i want something fun (like circus-circus), but i'm afraid that will be filled with kids or not total luxury (i want luxury).

I'd challenge you to a game of poker at the belagio. But, I doubt you could afford to stay there because you don't have a wonderful, handsome, and rich boyfriend like Peter.

OK we just gotta get the warden really drunk so she passes out and we can make her sleep on the floor while we watch tv on the tv that comes out of the end of the bed.

luxor was pretty nice for how cheap it was, I stayed at Caeser's too, and wasn't impressed with the room, and it was way more expensive....but it was slightly closer to most of the places to go.....

Stay at the Luxor. It is cheaper than Mandalay Bay, but close to everything. It's not the nicest of casino's, but the location/price are good. You will not spend time in your hotel. Also check out NYNY and Monte Carlo. My friends all get great deals when they stay there. Monte carlo has a GREAT pool too.

As for clubs, Print this:

Sunday: Light @ Bellagio; Risque @ Paris
Monday: Foundation or RumJungle @ Mandalay (both)
Tuesday: Tabu or Studio 54 @ MGM
Wednesday: Venus @ Venetian or Ra @ Luxor
Afterhours China Grill @ mandalay
Thursday: Babys @ Hard Rock or Rain @ Palms
Friday: Anywhere; Prana @ Aladdin
Saturday:Anywhere; Ice

hmm. i'll check out the clubs. I want to see a few shows too.
I want a good casino in the hotel, although i'm sure they'd all be fine. Money isn't an object, but I didn't put NY NY on my list because... well cause i live near the real NY.

I have stayed at the MGM and Mandalay Bay both very nice I was in there suites. The view s where good and the hotels where fun. A friend of mine stayed at the Winn it is an upscale place it just comes down to how much money you want to spend.

have fun

when do you plan on being there

Sometime this summer I think. I'm not sure yet because I have to make accomodations for kids/pets.
I'd like to go for 5 days and book tickets to at least 2 or 3 shows and maybe one night at a club.
I forgot about the Winn. I'll look into that too. so far, i'm leaning towards mandalay bay, Luxor, or Belagio.

DO NOT GO IN MID SUMMER it is just to hot if you cant make it soon then go in the fall.

if you are looking for things to do I would check it one there helicopter tours ..Do the sun set one. they fly into and land in the grand canyon serve snacks and Champaign then on the way back you can watch the sun set over the mountains then again over the horizon when you pas the mountains.
it is dark out when you get back and they fly over the strip and you can see the lights and city at night ..you can get a DVD of the actual trip you take.

it was allot of fun and didn’t really cost that much for what you get.
the shows are fun but if you go to one I recommend going to a big one that is well known and in a main theater

you should have a really good time

i know its hot. :(
i have to go when the kids will be around and I have someone to stay at the house with them, so my choice of times is limited.

I'd LOVE to take a copter ride. I'm not sure how safe they are, but ... i gotta die sometime.

:)
thanks for the suggestion.

I have stayed at the Monte Carlo three different times. VERY nice. I'd likely go with the Bellagio next time. Both are rather luxurious.

All those hotels suck.

Peace.

The Old Grump (who lived in Vegas not too long ago) says:

Circus-circus = negative 400, a TOTAL shithole.

Mandalay Bay = nice

Luxor = not bad

MGM Grand = too big, cant find your room unless you NEVER drink

Belagio = BEAUTIFUL - THE BEST BUFFET in town, great restaurants, bring LOTS of cash

Mirage = Holiday Inn w/tigers, bears and sharks

Paris = Its like being in another country, until you go outside and see the lights, HYUGE, overpriced shopping mall inside

Venetian = every room is different, even more pricey shopping mall but with gondolas

The Wynn = Anyone that spends 100K for trim around the bar (and no, we dont mean the women) hand-selected and hand-crafted walnut bring A LOT of cash just to sit at the bar... but upper end prostitutes are plentiful... BRING MORE CASH!

Any questions - dont hesitate to ask! :)

ah, see, now this is perfect, thank you!! :)
most people know one hotel with nothing to compare it to.

Vegas rooms are so overpriced. I went to college there and lived a couple of years and there isn't a deal in the city anymore. Now you pay big money for and average hotel room and insane money for a good room. The rooms I want to stay in I can't even afford(Justify) there so these days I just go for average when in town and try to make up for it with spa treatments, good golf, drugs ect....

i'm going here http://ile-tropicale.com/im/island-pictures.jpg a nice tropical beach, good food, good drinks, the breeze, the warmth of the sun and sand, the sound of the ocean, and a good book to read.

just not in this lifetime, but in my imagination

there is people who say, if i was a multi-millionaire or multi-billionaire that they would still work. i say get the fuck out of here.

The Luxor sux. been there lately? food sux, atmosphere sux, the rooms SUCK and it is NOT close to everything! It's at the southern most part of the strip...away from everything.
MGM or the Mirage would be closer to "everything"
Mandalay Bay is just okay... the pool is fun.
The Wynn or Bellagio is much better... though I think the Wynn is overrated, but location is good. The Luxor is just plain gross these days

cool, thank you. so far, the bellagio is winning me over.

When I stayed at the imperial palace the bed was a full 6" too short for me. I had to sleep at an angle just to not have my feet hanging off of it.

We'll just need a few things:
Platform
Bucket of chalk
Singlets
Variety of wraps and belts
Power rack

This could be good.
