My friend had problems with some kid last night so they ended up going after each other in the parking lot. Well once it broke out everyone who was trying to get in between to break it up started fighting. People who had nothing to do with it or even knew the people fighting started to get involved and some kid decides to pull a gun on us and than he slashed my best friend in the face with a boxcutter.

So now my friend has 17 stiches in his face and he was to impatient to wait for the plastic surgern to do it.

He filed a police report on the guy and told the cops about the gun and everything. What could this shitbag get charged with and how much time can they possibly put him away for?

i know how you feel,about 15 years ago I was watching a fight betwwen two bigs guys in parking lot(the cars were taking damage)outside a bar..just standing there watching the spectacle with a couple of friends..then this guy next to me pulls out a blade and swung at me...I had just enough reaction time to move back a bit..still slashed me across my throat right above my adams apple..guy took off running and I put my hand to my neck and it was covered in blood..oh shit,I breathed in could breahte fine and felt around my next to realize I wasn't mortally wounded..gushing blood I went back into the bar to close my tab...barkeeps said don't worry about it..my friends took me to the hospital and I had 16 stitches across my throat..fortunately for me the doc did a great job and the scar fell about right in line with a natural neck wrinkle

exactly,my two friends are fairly tough guys themselves(one was a boxer,and the other was a marine),but with me bleeding like a pig the quick decision was to see if I was alright...the guy was some redneck type and he ran across 4 lanes of road into the woods..I wasn't making any moves like i was going to join the fight,fuck no those two guys were huge and they were really pissed at each other...slamming into cars and shit

and for the record I've never had my ass kicked and I've never kicked anyone's ass..id get into a couple of drunken fights with my boxer friend...took him down both times and manhandled him,but thats just frineds playing tough with each other and going a bit too far...sure we could have hurt each other as emotions can get stirred up quick...but the next day its like "what the fuck did you do to my ribs dude...i generally stay out of trouble when drinking..and as you know as a weightlifter sometimes trouble comes looking for you in clubs..unless my girl is involved I'll swallow some pride and/or hold back my primordial urges because there is too much downside in bar fights(and I know as I bartended for about a decade)...I wasn't one of those gung ho bartenders who jumped the bar to help out the bouncers(when fights broke out I'd do some shots as management was a bit preoccupied)..one time I did get into a scimmage involving multiple big dudes at a club at worked at in cincinnati..the brawl was escalating and the club held about 2000 people,so the bouncers were mostly scattered and there were only a couple right on the scene..so I hopped the bar and grabbed a guy from behind in a nuetral bearhug to at least try and remove one dude from the fray...next thing I know some guy grabs me from behind and has his arm around my neck and slams me to the ground..I heard the bones crackling in my neck..I'm not small,but this guy was a monster,he had me down with my neck at about a 45 degree angle..I was scared,fortunately I wasn't hurt after the fracus was finely dispersed..the dude thought I was just another patron and as you know there is a pile on effect with some bar fights..I did some shots with management approval..but I decided form then on to stay safely behind my bar with the booze and just be a spectator..unless of course there is a girl involved..but I have seen two girls go at it..man thats scary,screaming like banshees,hair pulling,clawing..run as fast as you can from two girls fighting..thats some frightening shit..so unless its a solo girl taking some shit from an asshole,I'm out of it

haven't been to NY in over a decade..alst time was when my GF died and I took a GF from kentucky(right across the river from cincy)with me...simple country girl and I took her to a yankees game..what a spectacle for her...guys shouting expletives with their ~5 year old kids right there...different sections of the stands getting into hollering matches..she had never seen anyhting like it...dude was getting frisked on his car right out in traffic,in the middle lane....sirens..the bronz around yankee stadium is a zoo

I was talking to my friend today and we were trying to figure out why the kid slashed him for basically no reason.

One of my other friends that looks very similiar to the one who got his face slashed was fighting the slashers best friend. He pulled a gun on my friend to get him to back off. I guess when we went over to talk after we thought everything was done he must have thought my friend was the other guy, who he pulled the gun on before.

I'm just really annoyed at my poor judgment call, with going over to talk about stuff knowing the kid just pulled a gun out 5 mins before. Stupid excuse but I had been drinking since 7pm because of a marine ball I went to.

EXACTLY........I went thru this shit about 7 months ago.A friend of mine stomped this guys face,he needed plastic surgery so it was pretty bad.The lawer told him not to worry ,anytime there is alcohol invoved with both parties there isn't much of a case.
