I saved a pigeon today....

I saw a pigeon in the street that couldnt move too well so I got out of my car. It had fishing line all knotted at the tip of his wing so I went and got a pair of scissors, cornered it and stepped on the fishing line so it would try to run away. When it tried to run away the wing was stretched out so I snipped the knot and the wing was free! But it wouldnt fly...so I chased it (looking ridiculous all the while). Then if flew into a closed window (love when they do that) and landed on the ledge, i got closer and noticed more fishing line all knotted up around one of its feet. It let me get really close to snip the rest of the line, and didn't peck the fuck out of me. nice bird. Anyways, I feel good now about saving a bird. I think I'll have a nice fat chicken burrito for lunch from Chipotle.

I have a bird nest with 2 little eggs in the shrub right beside where I kept my hammock. I moved my hammock so I don't scare off the mother bird, and hopefully both will hatch.
