CHOCOLATE, STRAWBERRY AND TROPICAL ORANGE are flavored using 34.5 grams of cocoa per 412 grams of powder to equal 448 grams (1 lbs.). A sweetener does not have to be used but is highly recommend because the chocolate flavor will not come out without it, ever taste plain cocoa, (bitter)! Keep in mind, that chocolate flavoring will bring the protein % down due to the amount of cocoa used. If no flavor is given we will assume none is wanted.
VANILLA is flavored using 3 grams of flavoring for every 445 grams of powder.

3. Request a sweetener - The Protein factory offers splenda, aspartame, acesulfame, and stevia. The powders are sweetened with 1g of sweetener per pound of protein, with the exception of Splenda (sucralose) 500mg per pound.
Sucralose (brand name Splenda) is a new sweetener recently approved by the FDA. It requires NO health warnings because it is derived from sugar. Splenda is recommended by the Protein Factory. It has a good natural sweeteness with no after taste.
Aspartame is Nutrasweet. Found in diet drinks. 300 times sweeter than sugar. It is a good, long lasting sweetener. But over the years has been put to negative press.
Acesulfame Potassium or Acesulfame-K is 200 times sweeter than sugar. It is not metabolized by the human body, it passes through the digestive system unchanged. It has passed over 90 in depth safety studies, concluding the product is completely safe. It is NOT carcinogenic. No allergic reactions have ever been reported.
Stevia or Steviocide is a natural sweetener from the stevia plant. A weak sweetener but combined with acesulfame is very good.
4. Choose the total poundage - Discounts of 5% are given to $300.00 or more. 10% to $500.00.
You may combine sweeteners for a better tasting product. Aspartame/Acesulfame, Stevia/Acesulfame, and Aspartame and Stevia.
ALL PROTEIN IS PACKAGED IN IMPULSED SEALED 3ML POLYBAGS AND THEN PLACED IN A BOX. Proteins orders weighting over 10lbs are placed in a 4ml bay and zip-tied.
Scoops are NOT provided.
Conversion Chart:
60cc scoops, usually found in every protein powder is 25grams
1/2 cup is 35 grams of powder
1 cup is 70 grams of powder
Note: Every time you scoop out power, consider your margin of error 5 grams. Why? Everyday at the Protein Factory when we measure sweeteners, powders etc, no matter how many times it looks the same its not. I love when supplement companies make their serving size 22.2 grams and say that's 1 scoop. Trust me, I guarantee you never scoop out the same amount time and time again.

Customizing Tips
For the beginner and persons concerned with a good tasting mix
1. Stick with whey protein as your main ingredient. Keep the percentage at 75% or higher.
2. Use either splenda, acesulfame or aspartame as your choice of sweetener. Stevia is a weak sweetener.
3. Stay away from hydrolyzed whey protein, glutamine peptides, and bovine serum.
4. If you want to use soy or casein, keep them at 10% or lower.
5. Use aminogen, it does NOT effect the taste at all, but adds good quality.
For the intermediate bodybuilder and an average tasting protein mix.
1. Use 10% hydrolyzed whey protein in your mix or lower.
2. Use aminogen to enhance the mix.
3. Never make soy and casein more than 30-40% percentage of your mix.
4. If you want to use glutamine peptides and it is your first time ordering, get them separate first. This way you can taste them.
5. If you want to use bovine serum and it is your first time ordering, get them separate first. This way you can taste them.
For the hard-core bodybuilder or person not too concerned with taste
1. Try not to go above 30% hydrolyzed whey protein 520.
2. Use bovine or super bovine serum in your mix.
3. Use aminogen.
4. Try not to go above 50% casein.
