I need some elite fitness advice please!!

and furthermore, no one learns plumbing in 6 months
union apprenticship for plumbing is at least 4 yrs until you are making full wage.
you won't be making 50k after 6months, no way.
try 4-6 yrs
there is a lot to know to commercial plumbing

action script is where it's at, i cant find any school that teaches it though....i know how to use flash, just not the coding/action script side.....man i've never seen jobs that pay that well, they're all $30k or less and want 4 years experience.

i look it that this is probably the only good time i can go back to school, i live around all my family, be getting $400 a week for free, free school, and if i dont get job when i'm done i could always pick up side jobs and make an extra few hundred a month.....the plumbing thing is good to know, decent pay, but the work sucks and to make good money take luck for the jobs to keep flowing in...i'm gonna talk to my boss about it tommorow...i hope he will let me work 3 days so i cn go to school fulltime 2 days

SVC in Seattle teaches Actionscript (http://www.svcseattle.com/classes/classes_schedule.php)... Easy night classes, also buy a book it's called 'Actionscript Animation, by Friends of ed' it will teach you everything you need to move away from the timeline in flash and how the math works, helped me a ton since I also have been using flash since version 3 and not much actionscipt then.

It's easy to get experiance, do things for free... It helps you learn plus gives you pieces for your portfolio. I have been doing this for 12 years now and I still do alot of work for free or trade deals on the side just for my portfolio. I worked a car out of a deal one time for a website.

Good luck bro!~

I just got laid off from my job a month ago because our company got bought out, so, I was planning to go to school for visual communications/webdesign

I have a full pel grant (free school) and I can get unemployment ($400 a week) for a year just as long as I’m in school.

I just got a job working as a plumber, getting trained which will take up to 6 months, then I will be making decent money (40k- 50k a year) that my friends mom hooked me up with…..should I stick it out and learned the trade and then go to school next year? Or should I take advantage of the $400 a week and free school while I can and do that now? Plumbing sucks ass but good money, I don’t know that much about the visual communications/webdesign market,

I’m pretty good at graphic design and have been doing it for about a year…..i love designing and everything to do with media, i jsut dont want to be making $30k a year for the rest of my life because there isnt that much demand.....but i know i dont want to be digging ditches and playing in shit making only making $50k a year forever.

Any advice? Anyone here in the media/graphic/web/marketing realm?
I'm sorry to hear it bro....web design...there is someone lesser than you willing to do it for nothing. It may sound cliche' but pursue something you have a passion for...

Designers these days are a dime a dozen. But, you could go to school learn what you need for free then maybe get a better paying job like plumbing or something and do design on the side until you can stand on your own.

+1 I'm in that business and you can choose between the following:

1. Start your own consulting firm and work 120 hours per week just to eat the first 3 years.

2. Work for a consulting firm and crank out ugly sites because that's what the client will want after they hack to death your beautiful design.

3. Work for the man, spend all your time on 1 big company website. This way you get the same frustration of #2 but with lots of monotony and a big company atmosphere.

Sorry, take it from someone who's got 6 years in and looking to get out.

Good luck!

it's the service end of plumbing, we dont do new construction, mostly easy crap, cleaning lines, sinks, toilets, water heaters etc....get 25% of job. they want me in a truck in 6 months, you dont have to be a license plumber. 4 other guys with the company, they average 50k-60k a year...shitty ass work though, you have to keeo busy, mostly clearing main shitter lines

this is what i've always thought, working long hours for crappy pay and you dont get to be creative at all
