Testosterone Boy and a few others a while back were talking about how to pull out some kind a CMOS type of battery to force a printer to reset it's memory, but I cant remember any details of it.
Here's my situation briefly. In my office I have a standlone desktop Epson 6600 that I use only for B&W copies. My boss got it for me about 6 months ago and about every 3 months it'll start refusing to make any copies at all, and displays a message that the yellow and/or magenta cartridges are empty and need replacement. Since I've never made a single color copy with this thing I know they're not empty. I can even take them out and shake them and hear all the ink sloshing around inside. The only way I could solve this problem last time was to replace all the color cartridges. Three months later it's doing it again!
Computer peeps hepp me.
