LOL @ olds using facebook.
nearly all of my 400 classmates and i from the class of 1982 have set up pages and found each other. . .i think it's kinda cool. . .don't be such a techno-elitist, sonny

Some of us know of Facebook's roots, old man. (People whined when FB opened up to non-Ivy students, too, lol. And when it opened up to non-flagships. And then CCs. And then HSs.)

i don't know about any of that stuff. . .i just know that it made it really easy for me to reconnect with some people that i haven't seen in a long time. . .which is kinda cool i s'pose. . .personally, i don't really spend much time on there. . .i don't have a clue what any of those games and stuff are on there and i have no desire find out. . .and someone threw dirty underwear at me the other day. . .don't know wtf that's s'pose to mean either. . .i'm pretty sure i don't have time to spend tossing around soiled e-under garments, though. . .maybe i am too old

The success and demograph of MySpace really demonstrated the potential for social networking sites, and whoever at HYP created Facebook made a fortune.
I was always liked that there was an exclusive college student thing on the internet we could use, but really annoyed when it opened up to community colleges... and when it opened up to highschool students, I never touched it again. Personally, I liked the fact that someone couldn't join the site unless they had a .edu email address (thus keeping out the annoying spam and bots so common on MySpace), and universities/classes were linked: I could type my classes on my profile, click on it, then see everyone else on Facebook in my class (which was always at least half to nearly all of those enrolled). One would think there would still exist a market for that, but apparently not.
