I need a protein powder with high carbs in it... BUT...

I've cut out MRPs all together! I just eat a 350g potato and wash it down with a whey protein drink. No sugar, no fat, no fillers....has to be the best MRP you can get!!!

Protein factory has something called HRS. It is a rice based hydrolyzed carb. I used it and loved it. But expensive as hell. Think I'll just switch over to Maltodextrin instead. But Alex, the owner of proteinfactory told me that he is going to have some new rice based carb that is better than HRS. As far as what bodybyfina said. He is right. Use oats. Yes! I too fucking hated oats. The first time I put that with my protein shake I almost threw up over the kitchen sink! But if you have a good tasting protein with some oats...after a while you get used to it. Now I fucking like it and don't gag at all! And if you want to add some more delicious flavor...add half a banana. Yum Yum drink it up! It is the best, and cleanest and low glycemic carb there is!
 
Aren't most carbs in those protein powders/mrp's simple carbs like dextrose and/or maltodextrin?? It's almost always simple carbs junk like that.
 
Technically, I don't think maltoxdextrin is a simple sugar, but it acts just like one hence the reason to use it post workout. Or am I mistaken? If anyone can clarify that would be appreciated.

I'm assuming when AAP says he wants a "good" carb he means some kind of slower digesting carb that won't spike insulin levels dramatically like simple sugars do.
 
some of the labrada "meal replacements" have good carbs, high protien and taste good, especially the cinnamon oatmeal.
 
Fuck it AAP. Stick it out like I did. Go with real oats. protein in blender, cup of oats, half a banana ( for added taste ) and let that son of a bitch blend up MOFO. Drink it up. You'll feel full and have energy for hours!

I just checked the ingredients bro, its got maltodextrin down as the first listed which would be the carb content.

Its seems to be good stuff though. And i havent seen any other shakes with 100g a serving.

This is their site, but like i thought its UK. Bound to have a similar product in the states though?
