Remember when you were a kid and you would get a snow day they rocked! As an adult almost impossible to have a snow day:( Last snow day I had was in college it snowed so much Toronto's Mayor called in the Army:lmao: It was on a Thursday night they shut down our campus pub and everything. So everyone in residants just got drunk as hell.

We didn't get them too often but I also miss that rush that I got when I had a snow day! I bet my mom didn't think it was as fun though as it meant my sister and I were at home fighting all day.

I remember that storm, INSANE. 3 days of madness, then the army came to help, thank goodness. :D I'd moved to High Park just 2 days before that happened. The cars parked on the street that hadn't moved since the first day, were covered to the roof when the plough finally came through. Enjoy your shovel. :lmao:

Hey, that was a LOT of snow baby! :D Not just a dumping, 3 days of dumpings.. seriously, you could no longer drive because the ploughs couldn't keep up. The snow was coming UP onto my hood as I drove along..I was scared to stop because I knew I'd never get going again, LOL.

BUT, If Mel wasn't so cheap and had allocated a proper budget for clearing & salting it would have been fine.. he got burned because with the cuts, they couldn't keep the roads drive-able.

Mel was an idiot...but he sure was entertaining.

Not entertaining were those ridiculous moose all over the city.. that didn't help the stereotype at all.

I went to school in a dry county; you could buy beer/wine but no hard liquors. You had to drive to the Alabama border (15 minutes) to get that. We had a 3 day school shutdown once....there wasn't a beer or pizza to be found anywhere.

My company and the airport was shut down for three days last week due to snow and ice.

Most snow days I've ever had at one time.
