I like this board for a reason that many more people come here and alot are knowledgable. But, if I cant tell if they are just handing out info and they may not know what they are talking about what I am I to do ? I usually post here and elsewhere to get answers. I can tell you this, this board watches its own which is good and bad. The other day My little niece was watching me type in the conversation lounge and she asked me about karma. Well I explained it to her and she asked me to get some. So I threw a thread up asking for some. Well I left work and when I checked the thread was locked and almost all my Karma was taken away by a mod. I know he's a good guy but that sucked. I have been posting here for awhile so Im fairly new. I usually ask questions so my informativ eposts are kept to a minimum so karma isnt really my friend. I had 75 points and he knocked them down to 3 !!! I was a little disheartened but wtf am I supposed to do. I can tell you this that shit doesnt happen elsewhere. My little niece was all confused and I was too pissed to sit there. I didnt even know that was wrong. I have a pop up blocker that is a little wierd so when the karma window pops up it closes it, so I dont know the karma rules. I guess I broke one. Point is where I post elsewhere the guys wouldnt be such a dick and do that. So I still drop in here to see whats up but you have to take this soap opera with a grain of salt....
 
Im not trying to make enemies, or start anything. I just want to see if I am in the wrong with my thinking. So dont flame me 2 bad...
 
Give specific example with links.........you are making a vague accusation and just rambling about karma.
 
Ok heres the link, I feel like I am going to get trampled because as long as I have been here I know thats how it is going to work. But please look at it in a non bias way and let me know. If what I did was wrong do you think taking 72 of my 75 Karma awya was correct ? I have been here since oct 2003, I read more than make informative posts. I could copy and paste some articles on here from other sites and get karma but I dont. But maybe your teaching me a new lesson...

Well, that chat forum is very difficult...that's why I almost don't post over there. There are a bunch of useless kids all day long doing whatever they want. Politics should be reconsidered and restructured in that forum. There's a lot of people causing problems there and fortunatelly they don't post in this forum.
 
Ok what if all your karma was taken away and I left you 2. Then who the fuck would care ? Im not sure on that one you may be able to figure it out though.

You are always free to ask whatever you want whenever you want. Now everybody is free to respond however they want but there are normal ways to respond and some weird ways to respond. Those guys are always looking how to cause damage on other people or how to take advantage of the thread to insult other people. They act with bad feelings and without any kind of education. I'm sure they will not be the same in person; that's why I know they are just lazy kids.

Posts like this ARE the soap opera. I leave for a few weeks and this is the first thread I waste my time on? Bro, get over it. If you need e-karma to make your boat float you've got odd issues. Teach your little niece about something that has at least some faint association with value.

This is a normal answer when somebody disagree with the thread. But if you check the original thread from the link, you'll see the threatning comments these guys do like "you'll get a big bomb", "you better close this thread", "triple-locked" and then making laugh for the karma disaster. Those assholes should be controlled and even banned.

maybe you are an asshole who should be banned... first off, lots of the chat people post there cause the are tired of the same "can I drink winny" and "how do I make my bis bigger" that dudes post up... chat is there for fun and not to be taken seriously (unlike the AAS board)

I and several others tried to warn him "close the thread" - k hoaring (begging for karma) is not allowed on the boards... this is the same as if you were to warn someone not to source post... you would warn them but they would probably get banned anyway if they didn't take it down... and then you are calling us assholes for warning the kid and laughing when he got smacked? he deserved it for not listening when we tried to warn him...

maybe you are the one who needs to grow up.

OK Thanks bros. I hat e to sound like a little bitch. It may be the god damn fina. Im on edge 24/7 like a roller coaster. Today I feel like Im on clomid though. I appreciate the help and to all a good weekend. Nice to be home again :)

Karma is given to members when they have contributed quality info or help to others in a post.

I'm sorry dude. You don't know where you are standing. Trying to get karma that way, is wrong. OK. But taking advantage from that to "humiliate" somebody is different. This was not something like "Dude, you made a mistake, now I have to act accordingly". Not even an official warning. Just some useless kids saying whatever they want. This was a ridiculous bunch of threatning words about some guy that didn't know what he was doing. If somebody in this forum post something like "Somebody give me a source" probably he will get warned first and his post edited but he will NOT BE BANNED ANYWAYS. In this case, you warned the dude, laugh about that, threat him with some ridiculous shit and then literally humiliated him. I'm sure in real life you are not enough man to do something like that to another person you ASSHOLE.

Now I think you are on the right track, but lets take this down a different route. Someone is clearly not allowed to ask for karma by creating a thread. But, every now and then someone always does. Here we hit a crossroads. We "could" as you guys chose to respond with "here comes the H-bomb"(or whatever) , or "locked" and several other posts where the underlying tone is harsh and insulting. OR all one person had to do was simply respond and say something to the nature of "on this site we are not allowed to create threads asking for karma - one of the rules regarding karma points. To accumulate karma you need to post informative information/responses. Hope this helps, and enjoy the site." No flaming or insults. To different approaches to the same situation. To some people karma may be important for whatever reason and that is fine - to others it is not, but lets not condemn someone for asking a simple question which you may feel is a waste of time to respond logically and appropriately to. by the looks at the amount of time some of you spend wasting away in front of your computer on some fitness site, I really dont think you are ones to worry about "time management" anyway.

By the way becoming - love your avatar. That definitely deserves some karma.

this is the only board i know of that has a karma system

anabolicminds has one but you cant hand it out you just get it when u post..stupid

and who cares about karma...learning about steriods and talking about steroids to people who on the same page as me is why i come here....that and only that....you cant find this kind of unity in they gym....

Well said man...the main purpose of this board is fitness and bodybuilding; and all my knowledge comes from here..
