I bought some speakers out of the back of a truck in the gym parking lot. They're home theatre speakers, look real nice, but are as bogus as Happy Scrappy's claimed heterosexuality. They work, but don't sound that great. Luckily, I only paid $200 for the pair.

Damn I thought that people didn't pull that speakers in the back of the truck thing. They must have saw your gold chains and your riced out car and thought you had major bling.

Take them in to a fix it up shop... they might need to have the magnets re attached or something... or something replaced... if they are 1000 dollar speakers... it might be worth 100 bucks or so to fix em up

Well, I called the phone number of the company. They don't even have an 800 number. The lady said the place I called was a manufacturing company who distributes to the company who "made" the speakers. I asked where I can find out more info on the company and the lady said "those people are out of town right now." She then suddenly forgot how to speak English.

Ha Ha! That is one of the oldest scams. Let me guess, they told you they bought too much stock and the boss has authorised them to sell at rock bottom, or some such nonsence. You bought yourself some fake shit. LOL!!!

Sincerely :nopity:

Thanks, Captain Obvious. You're about as amusing as a prostate exam.

OOOOO! A prostate exam. Can i get it from you? Just kidding.

Look at it this way, if the cabinet is very nice it is easily worth what you paid for it. Just try to upgrade the speakers in them to aftermarket and can still make out. That's what i would do.

Bro, you got lucky. I know the same scam and usually they show you one speaker in a box, give you an 'unopened' box set you lug the heavy mofo home, open it up and discover some cement ornament for your garden.

They usually claim that their boss ordered XXX amount and the warehouse gave them 'too many'.
