He gave me tickets to Phantom of the Opera. 3rd row, center.
He knows it's my favorite. Has been my favorite since I first went when I was 14. It is still a few months away but it's hard to get good tickets. When they went on sale, I found out kinda late. I tried to find good tickets but couldn't. I called my dad, really unhappy because I was sure I wouldn't get to see it when it was in town. He told me that he purchased them the first day and was planning on suprising me with them. I'm 30 years old, yet, he still makes sure I don't miss out on these things. He bought them for me before I even knew Phantom of the Opera was touring the U.S.
He is tha best.

Thing is Your old man is so pragmatic/wise and seems like a guy who really commands respect in his field. That said my Dad has better teeth. LOL

I have been to broadway plays in manhattan (dad from NY and we go a bunch, plus, m&d love theatre) but I have never seen Phantom on broadway. Whoa. I think life would be complete after that. I could die. Seriously. I could die.

By far my favorite. If the Phantom could only be real....

i take my daughter to a broadway show every year. we saw hairspray, phantom, mamma mia, and i think this year we might see legally blond.
oh, and we've seen a few disney ones when she was younger. she loves musicals. Last year we saw blue man group instead of a show. it was fun, but i think we'll stick to musicals from now on.

That's really stellar of u to take her to that stuff. As far as broadway, I have been to: Man of La Mancha, Grease, Evita, Le Miserables, Annie (my fav. b/c it kinda reminds me of my life), The Odd Couple..... I think that's it.
Shows in Chicago are good,2. That's where I went to see Cats and a few others.
If your daughter likes musical and disney, she might like Lion King. I went with my parents just a month or so ago. It was good for all ages. The music and costumes were amazing.

did U get your tv fixed yet?
If so True Blood comes on in like 30 minutes... replay of Friday night's episode that ya missed.
Due to the lil pimp going sex pistols on your Television.

i heard the lion king is great, but she's outgrown that stuff. she LOVED phantom. like, it's her favorite play. she wants to see opera- that's her kind of stuff. when she was little, i played italian opera to her and she used to be able to sing it word for word (i don't speak it at all).
were you an orphan?
i wish i saw cats.

Opera sounds beautiful. Wish I knew what they were saying...but the voices are mind blowing.
I didn't think I would like the lion king. I went because my mom and dad had already purchased the tickets. I didn't LOVE it. The story is for kids..but I am glad that I went. The little boy playing Simba was amazing. He made it all worth it. He was really young but a better actor than most adults. His singing voice--->WHOA!!!!
Orphan? For a lil' bit. Spent birth until about 8 or 9 years old in hell (an understatement), after that, I was an orphan (almost hell, but not as bad) until I was adopted at almost 12. I love Annie. The places they put orphans now is WAY worse than in Annie but I could relate to how she felt. Plus, all of the stuff with the other orphans in annie was true to life. Plus, I was adopted by a man with a personality very much like the one that adopted her.
Cats was great. One of my favs.
