Real men know how to cook and love it. Its one of my most favorite ways to show my wife and kids how much I love them. A lot of guys miss out on the satisfaction it brings. Too bad :spin:

Why is while grain better than white>

LOL...I went over to a friend's little get together once. His new girlfriend tried to make spaghetti by just putting the uncooked noodles in the sauce in a pan.

We were all sitting there trying to not make faces and eat this uncooked spaghetti in sauce.

CRUNCH
CRUNCH
CRUNCH
CRUNCH
...

He really must have LOVED her because he didn't say a word to her and was sweet as can be.

E - you must feel really loved though! That is something I really like to do, so I totally understand. Kel doesn't really like to cook, but when she does, we have a fire extinguisher handy.

Its like the saying: I feel like a Greek god because my wife gives me 3 burnt offerings a day.

She does cook sometimes and she has gotten better since we got married. We still laugh about the potatoes she once cooked too long that were hard as a rock and light as a feather. It was like potato chips in full size, kinda funny when it happened.

brown rice is digested more slow, causing a lower and more gentle change in blood sugar. It has a low glycemic index....also higher in fiber. fiber is formed in a way that it can't be broken down into sugar molecules.....sooooooo it pass through the bod undigested. (makes you poop more better too)

white/flour enriched foods have a higher glycemic index and are converted almost immediately to blood sugar which cause it to spike faster. (like white bread) white rice provides carbs in the form of a starch as opposed to sugar.

LOL I am an EXCELLENT cook and I love to bake, but my hubby simply wont even entertain the notion of me cooking for him. He WANTS to cook for me... so why should I deprive him?

Once the kids are with us again we will take turns. :)

Ummmm protein doesn't make you poop like a racehorse, but quite the opposite. Everybody's GI tract is different. You are young and I am guessing have a pretty fast metabolism, hence your ability to compete with your equestrian counterparts in the fertilizer manufacturing department.

Thanks, I thought that was pretty witty m'self.

I am still chuckling about Younggunz' thread a ways back about diet and exercise. Brother doesnt even know BASIC INFORMATION about how food causes his metabolism to behave but he thinks that he is qualified to dole out advice?

No wonder peeps are so annoyed with him.

After I posted on that thread I just ignored all other threads posted by him as his ignorance and inability to listen and learn were clear. I figured I would let ya'll school him. I already got four kids of my own. :)

hell, i've been through a major transformation and certifications and stuff and i'm still very careful what advice to give out so not to steer people in the wrong direction.

EGG-ZAK-LY my point.... Why though you may have it own sort of beauty, it pails in comparison to the beauty of wisdom and life experience.
