Women at my company make A LOT less than the men here.
My company is huge (1500 emplyees) and still run by the man who started it (he's 87). He comes to work every day and still thinks all the women here are clerical.
His sons are now here and his grandkids and they have the same mentallity.
Women will never advance at this company
1500 employees and only ONE female manager. SAD!

No and here's the funny part.
She is lawyer they hired as head of HR when me and others filed a harassment complaint.
Basically, they were forced to hire her. She is awesome actually.

aap, the reason I am still here is b/c right now I need to work and am ill. It's tough to find another job when you're sick. I have amazing health benefits, gym benefits etc.
But before I got ill, I stayed basically b/c I was finally stable in my life.
Owning a biz b4 this job was great, but not stable
When I am better, I will make a life change. It won't be back at a "9-5" at at desk in front of a PC all day.

That's unfortunate but that said - the women that continue to work there and know that they will never advance because they are female just help perpetuate the problem.

Well since there are actually few women in the whole company (I cannot speak for our US or oversea plants) but the offices here in Montreal (there are 3) there are few women and yes NONE of them fight for anything.
I'm the only one I know that filed a complaint for equal pay for equal work.
I'm the only one that makes 10 grand more that what they started me at.
I went to the owner to ask for more money and I got it.
My bosses were wimps!
