And trust me, if I had the money to get one like that, I would. I love the old muscle cars. My ex had one.

1968 or 1969 - Camaro, too bad you have to live down south to enjoy it and keep it nice...love em

btw you could get that for about 30k

You can have one up here but need to store it. I see them around in the summer.
Yeah but 30 k won't get you a nice brand new fully restored.

Get this crazy story. My friend had a friend that answered an ad for a women selling a Mustang. This guy called and went to see the car. Turns out the car was a Shelby 1967.
Her husband bought it and used it one yr and then passed away. She had it stored and then in 1997, she was selling it for, get this, $200. She thought it wasn't worth it cause the car was so old. This women was in her 70's at this time.
The car was MINT and my friends friend bought it. Now here is the best part, he had it a week and totalled it while driving like an AHOLE!
If I had a car like that, I would treat it as well as I do my cats.

Is that a hot car or what?!

Hell no. Gimme a G37, a RX-8 even a Shelby GT500 but not a Camaro. I can't believe it lol Are you from Greenfield Park ? St-Jerome ? Coming from a Montreal chick its a little bit unusual...

South Shore chicks drive mini vans.
Not unusual. I've from the muscle car era. I love cars!

by the way manny, I test drove an rx-8 and it has no muscle. No kick!
My Mazda 6 is the same. They designed these cars to have no pick up. I love pick up

High RPM (no juice under 6000rpm), kindda like the S2000. It wont do shit on the 1/4 mile but on circuit (like Tremblant) you can easily have fun with it.

WoW; that story makes me weep, I hope to get that lucky.

I use this site to look at classic muscle, prices aren't too bad.

Sure you are Pick ;-)

And yes on a track the mazda's run smooth. My car on the highway at 160 feels like you're on air.
All good cars, but like I said above, something about muscle cars makes me quiver.

Note where they all are: Fla, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas...

They just rust all up here in the Northeast due to the salt. I'll wait till I retire down there then sport a nice Shelby GT (one can dream)

Also, anxious to see what the new 09 TL will look like. I love my TL so if it looks even hotter I wouldn't mind trading up.

well hell ya, who wouldn't want a car like that.
But there is nothing like driving a muscle car. When I win the lottery, I'm going to have one of each ;-)

Oddly enough, I don't like the Challenger, but my friend who used to drive a 72 muscle camero, LOVES the Challenger.

Well if you win then buy me a car too ;) I would love two toys :)

I'm more of a Saleen Mustang guy but I do like the idea of the Z06 engine in the new Camaro. The new M3 and C63 AMG are looking pretty nice too.

Of course.

You are perfect.

And, anyone with you would have to be perfect.

How do you stay so modest?

lol...you're reaching on this one, sugar. He had a great car, but he was far from perfect. I'd never want to date anyone who was.

So, you dumped him because he was not close enough to being perfect for you. But, you don't want someone who is totally perfect???

Good luck sister!

the one you posted was a 1968.

I love old muscle cars. I had a 1972 Dodge Charger SE with a 440 Magnum. Fast as hell!!!!! All new paint and interior. Motor was in good shape, just put some headers and a new carb on it. Ran new pipes too. It was beautiful. I sold it.

here here
I had a green 1970 Chevelle Malibu, took out the 307 and dumped in a sweet 327. It ended up in the junk yard :(

The GT500KR is a bad ass car. I was at a dealer the other week and although they'll list at $55K, they plan to sell them for over $100K.

no way? 100 grand? I better win the lottery soon.

Well I'm from a big city and I love the hick muscle cars. But you have to have been born in the 60's to appreciate that.
These little kids of today have no appreciation for REAL cars!

lol at hicks considering Xterras yuppy cars

yuppy 4*4 is a better label.
i'm getting a new jeep cherokee in a few weeks, i wanna be a yuppie too :)

lololol @ someone rocking an xterra that's afraid to put a surfboard in it.

puh-oseur

lololol at an "adult" believing what commercials tell him to believe (THE EXTERRA IS FOR EXTREME DIRT!!!!!!!! PAY $25K TO GET YOUR CAR DIRTY!!!! YEAH!!!! EXTREME!!!!)

Xterra isn't yuppy, it's just a piece of shit. Cherokee, that's yuppy for sure. Every fuck in my neighborhood growing up rocked the Grand Cherokee when it came out.

I despise those cars, they never vibed well with me.

My subie is just fine as long as the tires are good.

An Xterra? I gotta say, for a pretty cheap car it ain't bad. I've put about 35k miles on mine, including a cross-country trip and I've had almost no issues. Drives smooth too, relatively speaking. It's just ugly.

in all seriousness i think exterras are pretty pimp for SUV's
much better looking than explorers/jeeps/whatever the chevy is these days
i just see a lotta yuppie types driving them and outfitting them with yuppie stuff such as yakima racks and moosejaw stickers

juiceddreadlocks said:
which subie? I came within $200 of buying a WRX last year just to get out of my 8000 lb truck.

I just have an Impreza RS. I totalled my STi a couple of years ago. I mat get a Spec B Legacy for my next car, I dunno. They're faster than an S4 and cost $30K less.

always foung the exterra kinda crude.....would perfer a small toyota, honda or jeep liberty...but don't do much off roading here in nawlinz

Yeah, I think she just wanted to fit the ''colorado image''. They seem to be functional and it does ride good... I just had to ''LOL" at her pulling CO status with it.

why would you buy anything 4*4?
seems like a waste with no snow

The only reason I didn't buy one is cause of the stupid "EXTREME!!!" image Nissan tried so hard to portray for it. It's good though. I'm officially a Nissan advocate after having three of them (the Maxima was straight pimp).

As soon as I moved out here I wanted to get rid of mine. No snow = no need to have a gas guzzler (unless your life is offroad sports).

The supercharged xterras move pretty well too. I think those and the fj cruiser are probably the best for the money.

those things are fuggin awesome if you put a winch on the front (not the bluta type though)

for you i could see a 4*4 having more functionality...kinda close to mtns and such.
but rnch, in louisana, seems pointless
my 4 wheel drive has been on high since early december and will remain so untill march if i stay in mi

mud ridin, yo
meh, if that is your thing best to have two vehicles
a cheap car for work
a truck/suv for muddin
commuting long distances with 4*4 no fun

Those big ass f350's are pretty fun and nice inside. When I test drove the Saleen my friend drove one of the trucks. Those huge redneck ones all pimped out are pretty cool. I'd never get one though.

Yeah but I'm not cruisin the mountains in a fucking xterra. If I'm gonna do offroading I'll buy a Tacoma or something.
