I just sold the audi for half of what it was worth

cuz I was sick of looking at the fucking thing....

I hated that car cuz it had electrical goblins

but now I miss its 6spdness..and heated seats :( and my rash decision pry cost me a cpl grand

upside? the dude that owns the lot I sold it to wants me to sell non-lot worthy cars for him on the side for a 50/50 gross split with use of one of his dlr plates



anyone ever unload a car for way less than its worth cuz you hated the fuckin thing??

this is the third time Ive dealt with the guy..hes actually a pretty straight dude..runs a shitty little any-credit type of place
has a mix of crap and nice shit

I have to jump through firey fuckin hoops and a delivery takes me over a fricken hr to get paid dick cuz theres no % commission on new


also...I got skated the only big commission on used I had this week

Im considering handing in my resignation on monday
 
how is that going to work? How can be liscensed and bonded at 2 different places? Or are you just curbstoning with this new guy?

mostly just shit with open titles

if its done through his license all the paperwork just reads on his dlr license #
and the plate is done with a loaner agreement to avoid adding the person to ins.

licensing and bonding does work for two locations here tho...thats how the bike shop was handled..one or more is treated as a satellite location



it wouldnt be the first place Ive done it for either...i used to do it for a garage on their repair plate but thats trickier because it can only be so many cars a quarter or you have to get dlr licensing

That's the correct term btw..


You can't operate on a dlr legally. You'd have to run a demo, and a demo for that purpose would technically be a no no as well. YOu may be able to get away with using an intransit plate tho...

I understand the licensing for 2 locations, but those are typically for the same dealer principle.

Again, no clue how it works in CT..but i'd be careful cuz you're on a slippery slope IMO
 
I was so sick of my pathfinder, same thing, electrical, no one could ever figure it out, probably replaced every effin fuse/switch in the damn thing, TWICE!
I was about to put it up for sale, for what I owed in it. We had a bad ice storm, and that night I had a 125' oak fall on it, right in the middle.
I was so pissed it took me two hours to realise with insurance, I was going to get way more than selling it.
Currently I have a Honda Pilot and a BMW 7 series...Im about to just put a "free" sign on the fricking BMW!!!

it might be a state to state thing
theres some stupid form you have to fill out that the cops accept
Greg got nailed for speeding in this pos rsx he was driving when I worked at this other place

its funny you say that because I parked the audi under a tree that was already broken after this huge storm we had here last oct...fuckin tree never fell on it tho..but a branch did and nailed the hood :mad: but not enuff to make a claim




I knew every fuckin thing wrong with this audi...and fixed like half of it before I said "what am I doing" more shit is just gonna break...fuck this car

yeah, i know the form you speak of. It's required here for anything being driven after hours.

I'm sure it varies in some form or another from state to state. Titles, registration and everything else does...why the fuck shouldn't this. LOL

Effin battery dead, sure, its only 3 month old battery. OMG I Love, and Hate this car!!!

srsly tho...I had three german cars and two american trucks..neither of the trucks give me grief, and neither have the bmws

I have always hated a fricken audi

the other half snuck off and bought the thing when I was sick of car shopping
he was supposed to go look at this little 3xi series and report back...he came back with that stupid audi
he paid way too much for it and the car wasn't even in mint shape..he just wanted it cz it was 6sp manual and it has tons of gadgets (if they worked itd be a cool car)


I will say this about the audi..it was awesome in the snow...I was shocked at how well it did
 
My VW has been perfect ever since they replaced the engine that blew up at 8125 miles.
 
Thank god it was under warranty. I had a passat with 40k spin a rod bearing fucking the motor up and ruining the turbo. Just shy of 7gs to replace.

Yeah anything touched by sump oil will be ruined once it starts spitting out metal shavings.
 
I had an 01 grand am I sold with 60k on it for 2000$, motor went and there was always random check engine lights etc, before and after motor swap.

I wanted 5 but nobody would come close, my buddies sister offered 2, so away it went

you got the hook ups man, a normal dude couldnt expect to private sale one for any respectable money, I had it on auto trader etc for like 3 months, most people would offer 1500. a dealer trade in offer was only 2300, so I helped this kid out with her first car. she still owns it,runs good with the new engine
 
When it is between being a "woman" the bimmer rocks!
Reality is, you gotta maintain them, and most of the BS I run into are just things that need to be serviced.
The dead battery was traced back to some 14 year old kid that looks remarkably like me!
He had his power inverter plugged in charging his collection of gadgets, and plugged it into the "always on" socket.
Ill go easy on him since he just squatted 315lbs, and hit 250 on his bench! not bad for 14, and training for 6 months!!!!
Hard to complain too much since I own the bmw, if I were making payments it would be time to "forget the keys" in the ignition during a mall visit!!!
Woot, Audi are IMHO the best german cars made over the recent years.

I got quoted $2600 for tune up, and new brake disks and brakes and sensors for all 4 wheels by BMW....ridiculous
Im LA right now, so ordered the parts online and will do myself..$700....I see a for sale sign coming

Im so deep into this freaking bmw Ill have to drive it for another ten years to break even!!!

I'd never buy a car with a turbo that I expected to keep for much more than 40k.

So AC Shnitzer is to BMW as Saleen is to Ford?

How old is it?
 
2001...to me, the last year they made the 7 series and it looks and feels like a BMW. Since then they have become infinities with a BMW rondell on them. (im just complaining, the issues Ive had are all just normal wear and tear ones, im just a cheap bastard with expensive taste)
