I just ate at KFC for the first time in my life

I've just never been there before.. I went 3 years without ever eating fast food
 
KFC is nasty.
Back in the 80's the biscuits were kind of good - but the Colonel doesen't even have that going for him anymore.
 
I won't be able to go out tonight and drink b/c my stomach will explode

there is a local place that is awesome here but it's closed due to remodeling

only 2 popeyes here.. 1 deep in the ghetto and the other clear on the west side of town and I ain't driving an hour to get fried chicken

the only thing I remember about KFC growing up is loving their chocolate parfait desserts because I never liked fried chicken. in fact i find meat on a bone to be pretty gross so I never ate it. i like thems mashed taters though.
as an adult i have enjoyed their Twister Wrap which is pretty yummy but its been a few yr since Ive had that
 
I never got to the biscuits.. the coleslaw was disgusting.. the chicken was disgusting.. the mashed potatoes were disgusting, therefore; I gave up on everything
 
you guys to good for some greasy protein? fat to protein ratios prob 80/20 but still ill still eat the shit

Maybe you got a bad batch. :whatever: I can't imagine anyone not loving KFC.

When I was a kid, I used to go CRAZY for their strawberry shortcake parfait things.
 
the drumsticks are alright all the other chicken is so greasy. i prefer taco bell hard tacos if im going to eat something like that

when KFC still had their all-you-can-keep-down boofaas, i enjoyed the freshly cooked chicken breasts and hot biscuits.






but you must realize i am from the deep south....we crave this food combination :FRlol:
 
hey ranch i saw a show on food network last night touting some aunt mae? fried chicken rated best in the country, in the black section of nawlins what do u know about it?
 
never heard of it/her, hstern....was this a show from before august 29, 2005?

many mom & pop stores have not re-opened since the U.S. Federal Corps of Engineers' faulty flood control levies desimated much of this city.
 
also......i don't beleive there is a "black" or "white" section of new orleans...almost all of the neighborhoods in new orleans have been multi-cultural for decades now.

Her place got dessimated, but they rebuilt it for her.

The chicken was declared the best in the country by Bon Appetit magazine and she received a Beard Award.
 
im just sayin what they said on the show about the black section, they said it was destroyed by katrina and a bunch of volunteers raised money to rebuild it and donations paid for the whole thing. maybe granny mae. supposed ly been around since the 1920's or '30's

Probably located in the lower 9th and yes that was predominately black ... hardly racially diverse :rolleyes:

Hey HR u saw it too huh, :) thats right...never mind... lolol what was the name of that place. what about the dude who did most of the talking on that show he kinda looked fruity
 
I love their mashed potatoes and gravy, also the cole slaw. I am not a fan of chicken but out of all their chicken I like the crispy strips.

they have one of those here still.. I did not dine on that.. I got a 10 piece cuz I got 4 free pieces and I still have some left over.. shit is going to get tossed out, maybe it's good drunk / hangover food?

it was a little better cold.. the mashed potatoes taste like they got fucking charred then spray painted back white.. not digging them at all.. biscuits are ruined and threw them away

I am actually craving buffalo wild wings.. carribean jerk :p

here they have a kfc buffet and they have the chicken and watermelon right next to eachother. Not sure if thats done on purpose or not. But never seen any blacks complain about it. They just eat it up.
