I hiked the tallest mountain in the 48 contiguous States Yesterday

Props Lestat! That looks like a pretty manly adventure... Only way you're getting me up that is by Heli or Snomo. You should check out ice climbing, I bet you would like that.

bro I got over 200 pics. The hike itinerary was this.

Friday night camp at base.

Saturday 9am leave bass for Trail camp. 6 miles of hiling over 3600' in elevation. Various trail, lots of switchbacks, few streams/rivers, snow, ice, rock.

Saturday 5pm, arrive at camp and setup, filter some water, eat dinner, bed at 9pm.

Sunday AM (Summit day!) Wake 6:30am, breakfast of energy bars and hot chocolate (coffee for me) and we start on the bid for the top!

8am to 12pm, gain 1500' of near verticle elevation covered in waist deep snow.

12pm to 3pm traver backside of the mountain on snow covered ledges to summit, gaining another 1000' in elevation. Final push was up a snow covered bowl to summit ridge.

3pm to 3:30 enjoy being at the top.

3:30 to 5:30pm hike back down, 5 miles total distance using crampons and ice axe.

Man that is awesome!! The first pic would have been better if you didn't have that gay looking jacket on. lol
I needed wind protection, but light, this wind breaker worked perfectly.

My pack heading up was 45 pounds, on the way only 40, but it was brutal. I had to carefully consider every item I brought.

here is the group I went with. I was one of two first timers, the guy that put the trip together had done it 5 times before, he said this was the tougest one ever due to the heavy snowfall.
