oh yeah i totally agree. these douchebags should have never done that was my point. it was such a bad thing to do at so many levels. i couldnt sleep 4 days after i saw that.
i mean, its sad because who would ever think their place in this world will be "the guy who threw the puppy over the cliff".
"that guys a douchebag" will echo through eternity in the mouths of people nationwide.

Not cuz of the puppy. The marines couldn't give a fuck about the puppy. They don't even care about civilians.
But they DO care about the impact it has on the PR of the marines. Spending $40M a year on advertising, and one douchebag gets them called 'puppy killers' and sets them back years.
For this -- they will pay. NCO or Non-NCO. Though court-martialing a NCO/Officer is a bit more involved. If he was a private, he'd already be in the brig.

The courtmarshall will do wonders for the confused hearts of the ignorant. It will do nothing to help the other hundreds of soldiers who are coming home with severe mental problems from the war. The are many servicemen coming home fucked up and sick from this war. Many of them already started committing violent crimes here at home when they arrive. We need to get these troops the same help, counseling and follow up support.. that Cops get when they are in shootings...
I'm not justifying what he did. Just saying the court marshal aint gonna do shit for the real problem. The mental health of our service men and women. This guy is just a slight symptom of a real sickness thats to over take this nation when these guys come home.

I think the most disturbing part of the video for me, was the fact that the puppy remained motionless and calm while the soldier was holding it. Since the soldier gripped the pup by the same patch of skin the mother uses to transport the puppies, they feel protected and comfortable when being held like that. That puppy was probably lonely and starving like most stray dogs are, he felt comfortable and protected for a few seconds before he life ended. Then he was flung it across the air. Fucked up end...
The whole act just looked despicable on vid, but reality is that stray dogs in Iraq and other countries get killed by cars, starvation or painful diseases that go untreated... How many stray dogs and puppies do you think we burned alive during the initial bombings? How many guys in Nam killed local wildlife, water buffaloes and even innocent people...
If it helps put things in perspective... The steak or chicken you are going to eat tonight, probably went thru more discomfort, pain, suffering and was frightened for a longer part of its live, that the puppy in the vid.
