Whey protein is dairy protein. So, 100% whey is 100% dairy.

but that doesnt mean it is simply 100% dairy full stop
it has to have other things in it

Whey protein isolate yes, but in lower grade protein powders there is xanthan gum and other fillers, that will lower the amount of dairy in the powder.

Definitions

A Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC) is a dairy protein product with a protein content greater than 55% B preferably greater than 75% B on a dry matter basis. The casein: whey protein ratio is similar to that of the initial skim milk; lactose content of MPC varies according to protein concentration. As such, MPC-42 indicates a protein content of 42% and a lactose content of 46%, while MPC-82 signifies 82% protein and only 4% lactose.

A Milk Protein Isolate (MPI) is a dairy protein product with a protein content greater than 85%, on a dry matter basis. The casein: whey protein ratio is similar to that of the initial skim milk. Isolates differ from the concentrates in that they possess a high protein content with almost no lactose content.

nice customer service they have when they don't tell what the product has... I'd say also that 100% whey Isolate is 100% dairy... since it is basically an extract of milk-whey... lower grades powders will have other cheaper protein-sources (egg, etc) and some filler... any goof quality protein powder should be at least 80% protein... the one I use (supposedly 100% whey) it is 90% protein (from whey isolate), 8% carbs (mainly lactose and the flavor stuff) and 2% fat... it is also no-brand thing (a local product)

I would think 100% Whey is exactly that. ON 100% Whey ingredient list:

QuadPlex Protein Blend (Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate, Cross Flow Microfiltration Whey Protein Isolate, Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate [All Three Sources Contain Concentrations of Lactoglobulin, alpha-Lactalbumen, Bovine Serum Albumen, Immunoglbulins, Glycomacropeptides, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, Glycomacropeptides, Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, other closely related Protein Molecules and Glutamine Peptides], Low Molecular Weight and Partially Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides), Artificial Flavor, Acesulfame Potassium, FD and C Red #40.

So, it's not 100% Whey, but probably very close, 95% maybe?

OK, look at it this way, you have to have an agreed upon definition of Dairy, you are not using the correct one if you say its not 100% dairy.
Here is the definition
http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery...501&dekey=dairy&gwp=8&curtab=501_1&sbid=lc03b

OK, now that we have an agreed upon definition of what Dairy means. You need to know what percentage pure whey protein it is. If its 100% whey protein then that means its 100% dairy.
If the powder has other ingredients in it then that extra amount of ingredients by percent should be subtracted from 100% that will yield the percent dairy.

SO, what you need to do is list the ingredients so that the calculation can be made. You are not providing us with the necessary information to make this calculation. Its simple chemistry, really it is, you just set up the equation and solve for X as X=percent dairy. You see what Im saying?

Find the molecular weights of the other ingredients and calculate using one mole of the substance and that will give you the answer

Just have Customs return it so you can get a refund.

ON is bunch of horse shit anyway. For $11, you get two lbs of that shit and they have NEVER had a label that broke down their percentages of each type in there. It says you get isolate, hydro, etc.. etc.. etc... but they haven't yet listed the ratio aspect of it. Nothing but smoke and mirror artists.
